Well, for all the bad things I say about Mathias, she just saved the game for the Courage.

And the game ends, 0-0. Who would've predicted that?

This is the weekend of the go
I did. I couldn't believe that Sky Blue played NC even -- and I was glad to see that both Washington and SKy Blue may be better this year than last.

This was goalkeeper heaven this weekend. Three games; one goal.

If I think that I was tempted to do, then I said to myself: "Naaah, NC is too much strong even without the USWNT players!". :x3:

I missed a great chance to raise up in the predictions thread.

Was that a handball at the 90:00 mark (after the Mathias' save)?

I'm trying IE instead of FireFox today for Yahoo Sports... Nothing seems to be working for me. =-/ Unless the broadcast hasn't started yet for everyone.

    =edit=
Got it to work - seems that trying to navigate from Yahoo Sports' own website doesn't actually get me to the streaming page, but the link from NWSL does get me there.

03' 0-0 Daly(?) switches left to Ohai through 30m mid-left. Ohai goes 1-v-1 down mid-left, Greening stays with her, arm-fends her off ball and escorts it over endline left.

04' 0-0 Prince crosses from 8m wide right to 9m 2/5 left, Kennedy heads away. Daly taps square right to Hanson at box top center, shot blocked high. Hanson lunge-heads wide left.

05' 0-0 Daly dribbles to 12m box left, hard cross hits Kennedy's chest or left arm, no call.

06' 0-0 Houston pass crisply in the back. Pass up wide left to Ohai at midfield, Greening disrupts. Orlando longball down box right, too far for Hill.

07' 1-0 Huerta longball from behind circle back, to Ohai at 30m wide left, 1-v-1 on Kennedy. Ohai backs Kennedy down to 11m box left, cuts hard inside to 12m mid-left, shoots right instep bend perfectly around Kopmeyer's dive, just behind right post 1/3 high. She looks like her video is set to x1.5 speed :notworthy:

08' 1-0 Prince outpaces Pickett down box right to 3m, floats a cross to 7m center. Daly jumps behind Greening, twist-heads softly down toward 1/4 left, Kopmeyer dives and catches the bounce.

11' 1-0 Pickett dribbles from 30m mid-left to arc top box left, pulls Agnew into a rash lunge, darts past her to 12m box left. Floating shross toward right 90, Campbell slaps it past Hill's head. Marta chases it to endline mid-right, volleys back to box top center -- AR rules it went completely over endline.

12' 1-0 Orlando have advanced their possession into Houston's 1/2 -- maybe Houston have deliberately dropped back for a few minutes? Also playing a closer press, not letting Houston just run at them.

19' 1-0 Ball bounces toward Ohai at 12m mid-left, Marta herself comes back and chests ball away.

    21' 1-0 J.J. Watt peeks out of a luxury box :)

22' 1-0 Huerta settles at 35m center, promptly hooks a diagonal pass toward box top right -- off Weatherholt, ref calls handball. Huerta is in distributor-mode, always thinking of her next long forward pass.

25' 1-0 Orlando left throw-in at midfield, Polkinghorne badly underhits a clearance, directly to Marta. Marta switches right to RB Greening overlapping up, but she clangs ball away to Chapman -- and Ohai collects at own box top wide left, but shanks a pass into near touch. It makes sense: whenever Greening goes forward, Ohai should be marking her.

27' 1-0 Kennedy high longball, Hill offside.

28' 1-0 Huerta outstep forward pass, Prince thought she was offside and let it roll past. I think a defender behind Prince's sight cone had already retreated behind her, so she might have been onside.

29' 1-0 Hill gets to 5m wide right, 1-v-2, backpass to Marta. Pass left to Boyles, square pass left to Pickett, she clangs it away. Schmidt(?) longball up mid-right hits Daly wide-open, toasting Kennedy with a curling run. Daly is 5m'+ alone through box top mid-right, has too much time to overthink it, slows down to 9m 8-right, almost stands over ball. Right toepoke shot, Kopmeyer kick-saves through box right foot.

    30' 1-0 1H hydration break, for 84°F (29°C), 50% humidity, almost no wind.

37' 1-0 Hill escapes alone to 4m wide left, cross to 5m right post. Marta jumps in front of Chapman, heads over Campbell off crossbar 1/5 right, ball pops up and drops at 3m 1/4 left. Polkinghorne back-heads away, Houston clears.

38' 1-0 Marta drives down box right to 6m, cuts back and switches left toward Hill at mid-left, Polkinghorne stretches and volleys it away.

38' 1-0 Marta shoots left instep bend from 11m box right, just over crossbar 1/4 right, into the rear support pole.

41' 1-0 Prince veers inside to arc tangent right, left toe-poke shot toward left post low, Kopmeyer dives and tips it wide.

41' 1-0 Huerta left ck, to 9m 3-right. Brooks steps back from Pickett, heads a high bloop to goalline 1/3 left, Kopmeyer gets under it and pushes it over bar.

45+1' (of +3') 1-0 Prince jukes Pickett to 15m box right, cuts inside and turns her again, shoots left instep to right post low, Kopmeyer dives and pushes it wide.

45+3' (of +3') 1-0 Marta creeps to box top mid-left, pokes a vertical pass for Ubogagu, just too far over endline.

    HT 1-0.

49' 1-0 Stoppage: Boyles is seated at midfield, holding right ankle.

51' 1-0 Boyles walks off unassisted, Orlando resumes with 10.

52' 1-0 Houston clear high to circle back left, Greening goes up in the sun and misses a header, slides off somebody's back and lands flat on back. Foul.

53' 1-0 Marta fk at circle top left, to 12m 4-left, headed away to arc tangent left. Hill is offside at 7m 7-left, cuts centerward but doesn't get back. Weatherholt stoops and heads ball through entire backline to 5m 1-left, Hill lunges first and pokes ball through Campbell's legs. Offside.

54' 1-0 Prince drives down mid-right to 4m, cross to 3m 3-left. Ohai jumps but seems caught in two minds, does an awkward frog-kick and slices it nowhere, away from goal. Maybe just go for the header on-frame ...

68' 1-0 Daly to Ohai to Daly, running unmarked past box top wide left. High cross drops over Pickett at 3m right post, just misses Prince's foot.

68' 1-0 Orlando subs in (1 of 3) #9 Camila for #5 Emily van Egmond.
70' 1-0 Orlando subs in (2 of 3) #2-0 Abby Elinsky for #15 Rachel Hill.

71' 1-0 Houston one-touch pass up wide left, Greening does a reflex-splits but misses, Ohai darts in behind her and drives alone through box left, to 3m mid-left. Cross blocked upward by Kennedy, drops toward Ohai's legs. Ohai again gets caught between ideas, jumps but has no play with knees, lets ball bounce off her shin/foot, off Zadorsky, then Ohai jumps aside and lets it go over endline.

72' 1-0 Houston subs in (1 of 3) #2 Arianna Jeanette Romero Tellez for RB #20 Lindsay Agnew.

73' 1-0 Marta fk at 22m wide left, left instep past 4m right post, Kennedy dives fora header but misses.

76' 1-0 Pickett passes a hot potato to own 25m box right, Daly slide-pokes it free. Prince touches to arc right, shoots left instep but slices under it, way wide left with no bend at all.

77' 1-0 Houston subs in (2 of 3) #19 Kristie Mewis for #7 Kealia Ohai.

79' 1-0 Ubogagu shields ball at midfield left, Polkinghorne pokes it into near touch. Ubogagu promptly sits down, holding left hamstring(?). Stoppage, trainer flexes her left kne, pulls her up.

    80' 1-0 2H hydration break, during Ubogagu's treatment.

81' 1-0 Marta left throw-in, Orlando resumes with 10. Long serve to 12m left post, Campbell collects.

82' 1-0 Elinsky works 1-v-1 on Romero , ball poked away. Daly plays a high bounce better than Pickett, gets behind her and takes off. Pickett blatantly tugs Daly back, no call, Daly continues to arc top mid-right. Long shot doesn't trouble Kopmeyer.
