    82' 1-0 Orlando subs in (3 of 3) #16 Carson Pickett for #6 Chioma Ubogagu. +3'.

Sky Blue are drained from the heat and humidity. Orlando are more used to it, and pace themselves to drain visiting teams dry soggy. Also, Sheridan has resorted to the punch-away on catchable balls, at least 3 times in 2H.

90+3' (of +3') 1-0 Sky Blue left throw-in at box top, backpass. Long chip to box top mid-left, Pressley heads away across box top. Kawasumi backpasses to Eddy, Eddy chips but slices it nowhere, to Krieger(?) at box top right.

90+4' (of +3') 1-0 Off that turnover, Orlando longball into Pickett's stride alone through circle top box left. Pickett slows down through box top mid-left, rather meek square pass right for van Egmond trailing. Ball poked away, but back to Pickett, she taps into van Egmond's stride, to 7m 6-left. van Egmond stops to shake her defender, pivots right, shoots right instep across mouth past Sheridan's dive, just wide right 1/2 high.

FT 1-0. Orlando finally hold a shutout. Never invade Florida in the summer :D

Although if Foord did deflect and was in an offside position, it also looks like Horan was fouled in the box when she was in a position for a clear shot at the goal so there might have been a PK -- and there probably should have been a red card against the fouling player. The question then would be one of timing: Which came first, the foul or Foord's touching the ball?

One even could consider the possibility that Utah benefited from how the ref called the play. It could have been a PK for Portland with a Utah player red carded. As distinguished from a goal for Portland.

52' 1-0 Staab right throw-in from 11m, into the scrum at 6m 7-right -- meanwhile, DiBiasi back-cuts Ohai through 10m left post. Chapman backheads across own 6-top to 6m 1/4 left, DiBiasi jumps behind Prisock and heads down past Campbell's dive, into 1/5 left back low.

56' 1-1 Chapman longball from circle back wide left drops over Daly's shoulder to box top wide left. Daly cuts inside to box top mid-left on P.Nielsen, Huerta sees that and veers her run behind Daly -- and K.Mewis pulls up through box top left post. Daly backheels into Huerta's stride, alone to 8m mid-left. Huerta drills a left foot ground cross to 6m 1-left, K.Mewis slide-volleys left instep over Bledsoe's hands, into 1/5 left back high.

This is the proper way way to use Daly: let her chase longballs with pace. England made her defend in a trench, and that's not her strength.

90' 1-2 Farquharson crosses from wide left to spot, Sullivan jumps between 2, gets sandwiched and lands on back. Foul on Fields, pk.

90+1' 1-2 Pugh pk, right instep to 1/6 left 1/4 high, Campbell dives and blocks rightward, Brooks clears over endline right. Replay shows that Campbell's feet were modern-legal: she timed her plant-to-move just as Pugh struck the ball, so both feet were still on the line. +4'.

FT 1-2. Houston move up to 16 pts, within 1 game of #4 and firmly in contention.

14' 0-0 Yellow card on Naughton.

30' 0-1 DiBernardo receives at circle left facing away and turns cw blind, Zerboni darts in and steals off DiBernardo's foot. Quick pass to McDonald at circle top box right, she passes square right into Debinha's stride countering unmarked to 36m mid-right. Debinha kicks one-touch through-ball past Naughton shocked, leads Ln.Williams through arc top mid-left to 10m. Ln.Williams touches to 7m 7-left, snipes right instep past Naeher sliding out through 6-top left, into back right low.

37' 1-1 Wright turns cw away from Zerboni to 28m box right, chips a cross past spot. Scripted play, NC's high line advance to box top, Nagasato and Kerr retreat with them. DiBernardo backpedals to arc tangent left behind Erceg, runs a curl behind Mathias frozen at arc left, times it perfectly and emerges alone at 12m 6-left. Ball bounces to 7m 1-left, DiBernardo half-volleys right instep low under Labbé's left foot, into 1/3 right back low. NC's line is Kerr-watching, Chicago use her as a decoy.

    HT 1-1.

46' 1-1 Chicago subs in (1 of 3) #33 Katlyn Johnson for #12 Tierna Davidson.

51' 1-1 Dahlkemper left ck(?), tight to 2m right post. McDonald jumps with both hands up for balance, lunge-heads ball into/off her right hand, wide right. Yellow card on McDonald, for deliberate handball?? For that?

59' 2-1 K.Johnson long pass from 33m left touch to Kerr at 19m mid-left, 1-v-1 on Erceg. Kerr turns square right behind Erceg overrunning, pokes right outstep/toes square right behind Erceg's heels, separates laterally from Erceg to 11m 2/5 left, shoots right instep to center low -- nutmegs Labbé caught leaning backward, into 1/3 right back low.

This was the most beautiful goal from this week-end, and, as a collective effort, one of the best of the season! :notworthy:
