Yeah Boyd at this stage of his career is a player you take a flier on and hope he comes good. Was a world beater for Wien 4-5 yrs ago, but after multiple knee injuries in 2015 he really has struggled to be a consistent threat in the 2. Bundesliga

Yeah, I think they're probably hoping he can be Jozy's replacement once his contract is up at the end of the year. Take note: you can plan ahead, Burnsie...

I'd say its more they're hoping he can be a player at all. If he can find the form from Wien where he was a solid Europa league player then yeah he could be a very good starter in this league. But right now I dont think he would qualify as a Jozy calibre replacement

I meant purely based on the type of player that he is, not quality-wise. They have another year of Jozy and a full season to see how fit Boyd is and how he can adapt to MLS. Seems like little to no risk to me, assuming the price isn't too high.

Gotta say - feels like way more activity in players coming in across the league, and more rumors too.

    MLS is growing up.

Man, I can't wait for the season to start.

That partnership died a while back. Doesn't help that your GM admitted that he kinda forgot about it.

LAFC signs player on loan. One of the two guys Friedel was interested in at QPR
.@LAFC has signed defender Niko Hämäläinen on a 6-month loan from Queens Park Rangers of the English Championship. He will be added to LAFC’s roster pending receipt of his International Transfer Certificate. LAFC has not updated Carlos Vela's status following his injury Saturday

Galaxy looking to move Ole Kamara
Hearing, per source, that #LAGalaxy forward Ola Kamara could be on the move. One possible landing spot is a transfer to China. Had also heard an Eastern Conference team had interest via a trade.
    Kevin Baxter‏Verified account @kbaxter11 10h10 hours ago
For those following along at home, the Ola Kamara transfer, if it happens, has nothing to do with Gio dos Santos' status with the @LAGalaxy. Moving Kamara is an answer to his request for more $ and does not change the math needed to resolve the 4 DP issue, which is Gio's issue

    TFC possibly making a move
Being told that the Pozuelo deal is “99% done”. Immediate transfer. #TFClive to pay a transfer fee of €10m. Might be announced by end of day. Availability depends on ITC.

Think we can use a guy like that? Then again, Kraft is thinking that there aren't a lot of Mexicans in the area, so why bother...
