Ale's role has always been referred to as the 8, at least in the years we were playing 4-2-3-1 exclusively. Monteiro does a lot of the stuff you'd associate with an 8 already, so who knows.
It's a shame Atlanta got that goal at the end of the half, the Union were actually playing them pretty well. Though that's what a player like Martinez can do for your team. Also, it looks like Aaronson and Przybyłko are completely out of sync with each other, one or the other doesn't make a run and the other passes into empty space where there is NO ONE from the Union running.
Amazing win! Union straight up broke Atlanta after that 3rd goal. They weren’t even interested the last 10 mins or so.
It's like the DC game in reverse. They looked lifeless and out of sync in the first half, then completely turned it around in the second.
No, Orlando still needs to lose. If they do and NYCFC win against Vancouver, both of us will clinch since Montreal also lost to DC earlier.
Did anyone else catch the ref's finger-wagging routine whenever there we calls for a foul he wasn't going to call? That made the wife and I chuckle every time. At him, not with him.
