Always a fun match against RBNY. Hopefully we can right the ship against them, though. Since 2016, in regular season play we are 1-4-3 against them, being shutout in 5 of those 8 matches. Obviously this season is looking different, but they've certainly had our number of late. Interesting side note - in that same time frame we are actually 2-1 against them in the USOC, with the only loss being in PK's in 2017.
Needs to be a win. When you are around the top of the conference you have to make the home games count. Channeling Captain Obvious today.
"Final result, 3-2 for those of you scoring at home...as well as for those of you watching us here on SportCenter" Could have sworn I heard that a couple of decades ago on a late night broadcast with Kieth Olbermann. Can't seem to find a clip though
One of the few Red Bulls matches that I will miss. <brag> My daughter made Regional All-Stars for Softball and the big game is at the same time Saturday Night. </brag> Sticking to my vote of a draw. Could easily be a preview of a Conference Semi-Final, or even Conference Final this season. If both teams show well, it will be a spectator's delight!
Looks like the weather is going to be good tonight. Looking forward to a full house hopefully and first game of the year with my wife who is not a big sports fan. She's been a little more interested this year since I've been able to resell extra tickets for at least face value. Need a good showing to help convince her to continue to support the cause (me keeping my seats a few more years).
As of 4 PM only 1 ticket available on StubHub and only scattered single seats outside TRE on the Union website. First real sellout of the season?
Santos missed on a great chance and Energy Drink FC have capitalized on two Union mistakes. Hope Curtin has some answers. The pitch is embarrassing.
What a joke. Lack of a quality striker again the deficiency. Then a lazily defended goal allowed quickly followed by a Benny Hill music worthy laugher. I'm full on Nexus mode right now.
First time I've seen the stadium sold out in a while I think. I mean really sold out not "tickets sold" sold out. Crowd was electric during that second half.
Well that was fun. Well the second half at least. They really need an upgrade at RB. Ray nearly gave the Red Bulls 3 goals tonight. That said......Ilsinho...........good gawd, he really is Curtin's cheat code!!! This team needs a striker...................in the worst way. That said, they are somehow second in the league in goals scored. Then again, if they had a real striker they likely beat Colorado and Seattle at home. Don't want to be too negative tonight. It was a great comeback victory.
