Now, how much "better" is actually the scottish league compared to JLeague?
He is not in Celtic with UCL like Shunsuke, there are more scouts for big clubs in Scotland than Japan?

Probably more scouts yes. And its a good thing being a much tougher league physical. If PL is his goal.

Meshino starting on the bench for Hearts today, just one day after being officially joined the club:

Heading home now to watch this.

I actually just walked past the stadium before the game kicked off, it's a good atmosphere in town, a couple of my work colleagues are big hearts fans and really excited about this kid, they really need something to cheer about

I'm watching but I have to be honest, haven't seen this league since the Nakamura days but it's... not really nice to watch. At least not the two teams involved today
The technical level is lower than I thought, there's lots of ping-pong with the ball in the air, most passes don't really connect... ugh. Meshino has been "ok" I would say but if the team doesn't pick up some decent style it's gonna be hard for him.

He barely touched the ball the 2nd half.

I don't think he expected to play this much so soon.

Yeah this was always going to be an issue. the scottish league is a very hustle bustle league, not much space to create, lots of hoof ball and physicality. Unless youre playing for Rangers and Celtic who have better players and can actually get the ball to you, eg what helped nakamura, its going to be tough. But he was thrown into the deep end and this truly was an awful match, the J league is so far ahead of this farce.

Brilliant. He will be the star of this inept team in no time, even their fans think that Meshino shall play for a team better than theirs.

He played 90 minutes and Hearts won for the first time in the season, 2-1 away at Hibernian. Not directly responsible for any of the goals, but lots of praise for him in the comments from supporters on Twitter.

Hearts sacked their head coach (manager) Craig Levin:

Austin MacPhee, his assistant coach, will be the interim manager. Austin was the one behind bringing Meshino to Hearts. He speaks fluent Japanese and was the head coach of regional league club FC Kariya form 2003 to 2006.
