I don't see a thread for this or if there isn't one not sure if this is the right place for it. US plays Ukraine on Friday @ 1:20pm (CT) on FS1

All the players from US clubs, other than USA: Wesly Decas (HON) from Atlanta United Cesar Romero (HON) from Colorado Springs Jack Jean Baptiste (HON) from Loudoun United Luis Palma (HON) from Real Monarchs Joe Bell (NZL) from University of Virginia Guillermo Benitez (PAN) from Atlanta United Carlos Harvey (PAN) from LA Galaxy Ernesto Walker (PAN) from LA Galaxy Saed Diaz (PAN) from Bethlehem Steel Ezequiel Barco (ARG) from Atlanta United I think that's it.
Honestly, despite the loss in the first game this is the best looking US national team at any level that I've seen. Perhaps it was just an easy group though? Also, the defense is not as good as the offense, so they might underachieve.
I feel compelled to say the #1 team so far in the tournament (based on points and goal differential) is ... New Zealand!
Just enjoy the irony in it - everyone knows it won't last. Life is better when you celebrate the oddities when they occur
After watching the 2nd game, Barco appears to be a faster player than I initially thought he was. And although he may try to draw too many fouls, he has also been given the responsibility to take most of the freekicks.
That 2007 team with Adu, Altidore, Bradley, Szetela and Zizzo was a wild ride too. The games against Brazil and Uruguay were two of the most pumped up games I've ever had watching on TV. That upset loss to Austria in the quarters was a gut punch.

They used VAR twice on the same play. If the USA player was offside before getting taken down in the box, then they used VAR again to issue a yellow card on the play.
Just checked in on TT and his Twitter followers. I don't understand what they are watching... It's all doom and gloom over there, fire Ramos, we're awful, terrible soccer etc. What in the world are they talking about? It's 6 points, and we're through to the knockout stage. How is that "awful"???
France v. Mali today at noon. We get the winner. France obviously a heavy favorite. Mali managed to beat a lousy Saudi team 4-3 and drew with Panama. Still, these are kids and who knows Tune in and root hard for Mali.
I think after the 2nd game, some were expecting a more dominant game in the 3rd. But, between fouls and the opposing keeper, I am satisfied with the result.
