It could also be Reyna in the middle and Busio on the wing. Either Gray or Alejandre wasn’t going to start, considering Wicky refuses to use KHF at LB.

I think the game is on UDN live if people want to watch there.

Guide lists game there, says CostaRica v Canada, but I'm thinking it will be the US game.

I still don't think he's figured out how to employ his back-line properly. Gray-KHF as the cb pairing is an improvement there. But he would have gotten better players on the field, and application of them, by starting KHF at lb, Scally at cb, and someone like Cuevas at rb.

The front 6 I don't have big problems with. AOC has had a better tourney than Pepi. Reminiscent of Soto struggling w/ the u20's and bumping him for Rennicks on performance. He's got to have figured out by now Reyna at wing, Busio in the middle, is the right way to play things, otherwise I do have a significant gripe. I get rewarding Yow because of his hard work and solid production, but the passing in the front 4 is weak overall. It would be a better mix w/ Fuentes in there.

Uh oh, they're starting an hour earlier than the thread title indicates. I can see some very disgruntled folks here in a minute. Fix the header if you can.

I went off the wikipedia start time and I can't change it now. I tagged a mod in a post but I guess he didn't see

Too many youth players taking extra touches right now. It's the worst tendency I've spotted from our system. Seize on the opportunity when you have it.

Try tagging a plethora of mods. I think any have editing power. Could be wrong though.

The only way we lose and the blueprint to beating this team is for Panama to sit back let us have the ball, then counter us to steal a goal or two. Canada's first half was the blueprint for beating the US. We do make mistakes in possession a little too much and assuming Panama has some athletes to beat our CD's. To win we have to be patient and possess the ball well and get back on defense the few times we may be in trouble.

Reyna is taking free kicks like Bradley. These are horrendous.

One would be remiss to draw any over-arching conclusions about long ball delivery when it's this blustery.

4 corners and a couple free kicks, they should have something decent in the box. Busio has already taken over.

Hernandez hit a gorgeous ball into Yow early who decided to take it first time even though nobody was within ten feet of him.

    0-0 HT

If the pattern of play keeps up you would think the US will win this, but they need to score at some point. They have had chances to go ahead in the first half.

Too much fiddling at the back. Break the lines or launch it. Ultimately leading to TO danger and allowing the opposing d to get organized.

Also lack passing in the final 3rd. When they hit a line splitter into the box they're taking too many touches to the end line or into the defender killing the opportunity. Should have scored 1 or 2 w/ the spots they got into.

Busio and Yow have been really poor. Would like to see Fuentes on at half for Busio. Yow bow out in the 60's in favor of Pepi. Move AOC to the wing or change shape to include 2 fw's (diamond).

Saldana and Leyva have been a really strong pairing. Thwarted breaks, maintained possession, and sprayed the ball all over the yard with efficiency.

Kobe is class. He rarely mishits a pass, and notice how the other defenders keep feeding him the ball. They know.

This team doesn’t have playmakers. The three attacking mids are all goal scorers before they look to create for teammates. I see two solutions to that. You throw on Pepi and go with two CF’s or you put in Fuentes who may not be great but isn’t going to try to shoot every time he received the ball in the final third.
