This gave me flashbacks of Chepo. Why were the players waiting to shoot? Shoot the damn ball!! Things that need to change: Too slow in deciding what to do. Some players are trying to make runs and instead of passing it at the right time they are holding on to the ball too long and passing it back uselessly. Too much wing play. Every attack was from the side, I get the midfield is crowded but trying the same thing 1,000 times and failing is not the way to get through. The wingbacks didn't put in a single good ball for 120 mins, it's pathetic. This team needs to learn how to change up their attack with some verticality badly. Just shoot! Why make it all the way to the box and then pass it to the wing? I don't understand.
Agreed, we play wayyyy too much on the flanks making our play too predictable. We need to take advantage of our technical superiority short passes and dribble more through the middle.
I lost count of how many times someone was in the middle and instead of passing it up it went to Chaka or Gallardo. Have our players never heard of one-touch give and go to break into space?
