Costa Rica Screwed Costa Rica. @Talisman

 

Wasn't as bad of a game as people are making it out to be. Costa Rica defended well and the team didn't respond well to pressure and lack of space.

My take on the Players:

Raul, Alvarado, Pizarro where the only consistently dangerous players offensively. They did make mistakes but for the most part they clearly where the most effective players. Ochoa was his effective self again.

Guardado, Alvarez, Carlos Rodriguez where decent for the most part even though they clearly screwed up at times. All showed that they still belong but they need to improve.

Salcedo, Araujo, and Moreno were okay defensively but were not really tested.

Gallardo regressed in this game and Luis Rodriguez was mediocre all game. Atuna seems to have been exposed in this game and Alvarado was far more effective.

Luis montes has always sucked with the NT and i still don't get why he got the call up. He's a midget that gets bullied off the ball and while he has some talent his lack of strength makes him garbage at this level. We got saved when he stupidly broke his leg in 2014 (he was 100% at fault with his reckless tackle) otherwise Piojo would have taken him to the world cup.

 

I know I've said this before and I understand seniority and being captain and all but it's worth repeating; Guardis is more effective off the bench with this group.

 

The game was not bad and I even dare say pretty good when not watching it in spanish and in a language you dont even understand.

Mexico has some really good young players.

No fue penal. Pateo muy mal el costaricense F-U-E-R-A del area y creo que se le pudo haber marcado falta porque el costaricense le metio un pvtaso al Chaka despues de fallar el remate.

El 10, creo que fue Montes lucio muy mal. Antuna no estuvo o "esta" al nivel pero te llega al area rival por su velocidad.

La neta que RJ9 es muy bueno. 8a, ni se diga.

 

And who is going to replace him? Guti is way out of form and Orbelin isn't rated by Tata, JDS is a RCM his competition is with Rodriguez and HH and even then he has proved several times he doesn't belong anymore. Guardado is starting because there is no one better atm

 

Anyone else love it when Salcedo started pumping up the fans after he sank his penalty? After that I had a feeling we would win.
