Good time to tell people here that ESPN+, Disney+ and Hulu will be packaged together for $13/month sometime in October. If you haven't got ESPN+ yet, then would be a good time to jump on to the bandwagon.
ESPN+ is also rumored to be the favorite to get the US rights to the Bundesliga starting in 2020/2021.
As someone who thought Llanez was the best U20 during the CONCACAF tourney, I'm happy to see him tear up the German U19s. They can't keep him there long, can they?
Works for me since I am already paying for espn+ and hulu separately, and paying nearly that price now.
I'm trying to get the hype machine rolling here! Come on folks!! 1164562803690266624 is not a valid tweet id
Three games into the season, Joel Sonora's Arsenal are in first place in the Superliga Argentina. He has two goals in two appearances.
Yup. He is soon-to-be-23, though. Not eligible for USYNTs anymore. Do we really consider him a "youngster?"

According to FCD "insiders," he's gotten his citizenship. One suspects that he'll be a part of the next US U23 camp. Pomykal has been the headline-generating breakout youngster for FCD this season. But Ferreira and Servania are really coming on strong. Worth noting that Ferreira isn't playing as a forward in this scheme for FCD. For the moment anyway. He's playing a more central midfield #10 kind of a role. [If this sticks, FCD has a midfield problem. 5 USYNTers needing minutes. Pomykal, Ferreira, Servania, Cerrillo, and Thomas Roberts. And they tried to sign Chris Cappis. Eeesh.] The Dynamo was sooooooooooooooo terrible last night that its hard to make any definitive conclusions.
From a NT perspective that is a nice problem to have. FCD has the best midfielder production I've ever seen. Add McK and Hyndman and it's not even close.
Kellyn Acosta, Victor Ulloa................... They have another USYNTer in the academy, Tanner Tessman, who's likely ready for a contract. But if you're Tessman you're probably looking at the FCD landscape and not seeing any playing time available. Time won't even open up if they sell Pomykal. Its then Thomas Roberts who fills the gap. Like Penn State is Linebacker University................FC Dallas is Central Midfield University. Now if only they'd have as much success in the other areas of the field.
Again, I know there are reports to the contrary, but I've heard from one source close to the player that he is not a citizen yet but will soon be given a date to take his citizenship test. (then he would become a citizen, then needs a FIFA waiver). Not sure what to believe, tbh— Brian Sciaretta (@BrianSciaretta) August 26, 2019 On Ferreira
The 3rdDegree North Texas soccer news guys said confidently on Twitter a couple months ago he had his citizenship. Maybe it's confusion about citizenship v. a test date or FIFA clearance date. Warrants further inspection by someone. Olympic qualifying isn't even until May, but if he played in a friendly for Colombia before he got citizenship I don't think he'd even be eligible for the US anymore.
Yup. Buzz Carrick said that, who is about as closely connected to the club as one can get without being an employee. Brian presumably has good sources as well. Anyway, point being that its either done or done imminently. The timing didn't work in time for the U20 World Cup, but presumably will be for Olympic qualifying.
One for USMNT fans to keep a side eye on. 18 year old Matko Miljevic got on for Argentinos Juniors last night for their match against Huracan. He's recently been in contact with Tab Ramos. #AAAJ ⏰ 26 PT: Primer cambio en #ElSemilleroDelMundo. Miljevic had a nice effort at goal early in 2nd half, also this nice movement. Just missed connecting onside with Silva.... Some giveaways, but overall not bad. pic.twitter.com/Ie89gAmbBr— Arch Bell (@ArchBell) August 27, 2019
And now we have a first goal for Miljevic. Sneaky breakout contender. Congrats to Matko Miljevic! What are the odds that Sargent gets another start soon after returning from the break? https://www.starsandstripesfc.com/2...lliant-first-goal-of-season-for-werder-bremen don't know anything about how he played other than the goal but....wow! Of course, it is true that most of our strikers could finish that also....
Sargent: 3 goals in 350 Bundi+Pokal minutes (and the Cup doesn't help him) JoJo Eggestein: 6 goals in 1650 Bundi+Pokal minutes (the Cup helps a bit) Eggestein is also two years older, and from my eyes, nowhere near as talented as Sargent. But that could be my bias. But he's German, and his brother is pretty good and on the team, so expect a lot more "we're going to bring him in slowly" as his team burns from Kohfeldt. Sargent isn't going to solve the problem, but he's better than Eggestein.
Toye had his breakout game against none other than LAFC. His first goal I thought showed more of his qualities but the second one shown below is more stunning.
