Well, would you look at that! Looks like you don't get it for the multi-game passes though. What we can do though is measure total unavailable seats vs. seats being held back. It won't be as precise but it should give us a rough idea of STM and Multigame passes combined. I might even be able to reverse engineer a very rough multigame pass count using the final isolated count of STM I did. Super nerdy but I love it!
Whoa...getting the extended wait time page when you click on the twitter link. A lot of people looking at the single game tickets for the opener.
As it should be. And to think, people are looking outside today of all days and going, ‘Yeah, I’m interested in going to the Crew game in 4 weeks.’
Oh you asked for it now haha Okay my plans for today include: 1) Updates on ticket sales for the first few home games and the Hell is Real Rivalry 2) Best estimates for STM & Multi-Pass Sales
I would think it's safe to say some areas are being held back. I think anywhere you see a mostly solid line of open seats would have completely open areas above them.
I think in the upper sections/bowl you are right. This is part of how I do the counts I do. I look for clear deliniating lines like that to help calculate how many tickets we are holding back. I can compare what we have seen there to season tickets to in order to reverse check them.
Or if not completely, largely so. Maybe it varies by level, but I can't imagine seats at the top of the second deck having much demand, until seats lower down have been taken. So, as you note, in my section, 226, the map shows the entirety of row 16 being available, with nothing at all available in rows 17, 18 or 19 (which is a partial row). That makes zero sense. In 225, all but two seats in row 12 are showing to be available available, with zero seats free in rows 13-19. Uh-huh.
Stating the obvious, but I really hope we get some sort of hard news re: tickets sales next Thursday night. I'll wait to make my final prediction regarding attendance this season until after that event. It's easy to get caught up in the emotion of circumstantial evidence that points to heavy demand. I just think we were pretty far down a hole, fanbase wise, and that the process that'll eventually get us to where we need to be in terns of % of capacity sold is likely to take some years - and a lot of hard work - achieve. One variable that might turn around faster and play to our advantage is corporate ticket sales, which is something we can't attempt to measure via Ticket Master tea leaf reading and an area that must have been terribly under-performing during the PSV years.
When do people choose the games in their 4 or 10 game packs? Seems like that would have to happen before individual game sales begin.
I chose my ten game pack dates on Monday, which was the day my rep called me to offer me a specific seat. BUT, I think I could have given her the dates I wanted when I made a deposit on my package a few weeks ago, because I was able to tell her I was certain about March 2 then. They just wouldn't have been linked to a specific seat (just a section) until this week.
I gave my rep the 10 games I wanted on Friday. He plugged them in on a Monday and called me with the seats he had available at that point. That may have helped me jump the list a little because it sounded like they were having to reach out to people for their 10 games on Monday so they could lock in seats because no dates had been provided to that point by some folks.
I jumped on site the first day Multi game packages were available just to see how they were doing it online. It basically gave me a list of games to chose my 10 from and then the system showed me options for exact sections/seats once I picked the games. I'm sure once individual game tickets go on sale, it will be hard to get same seats for 10 specific games and the options will start to get very limited. So if anyone is consider 10 game pack - get it now! BTW - I was just curious how they were doing it since I had pledged partial season tickets, but ended up buying 3 full season the very 1st day.
Okay so I am working my way through the count and will post the results tomorrow but a couple things are pretty apparent right off the bat. 1) They have released the majority of season tickets they had pulled back putting them up for sale again. 2) We sold a lot of tickets for the home opener in the last 24 hours, season, individual, and multigame packages included.
Buddy of mine got tickets for us for opening match - so we'll see you guys there! Any word on the Mega T-AAA-ilgate?
Cool! I haven’t heard anything. I think the official BS taaailgate is TBD later in the season. I am curious about any mega-tailgates for Crewsmas.
