If the players don't execute, then find players that do.

That is why sometimes execution and team cohesion are better than talent.

South Korea continues to decline. I'm starting to think you are in danger of losing its Asian powerhouse status. You were very lucky to qualify for the WC and performance wise I think you were the worst Asian team in the WC. Tbh, Germany deserved to beat you 3-0.

Same shit pundits said about the US economy back in the 70s. With that attitude, we're getting nowhere.

You know what? the Saudi approach ain't bad. Just keep hiring and firing until you find the one that works. Hey maybe we can approach Juan Antonio Pizzi after he gets the axe.

We didn’t have anyone that has the confidence to take the ball and dribble it forward to attack. LSW (subbed too late), HHC (didn’t play), and SHM are the only ones. Thats why LKI needs to be introduced to the NT the sooner the better. He can break down a defense. Hell even MSM wouldve been somewhat effective in a more direct attacking style in this tournament.

To be fair, not having LJS and KCH was a big loss for us this tournament. Say what you want about Ki but he is still the best player at his position on the KNT and it isnt even close.

If someone cant agree with you on that Ki is still our best midfielder, he needs to stop watching football.

Because it looks more and more like the manager is just the face of the team for the blame.

While the federation can neglect having a medical staff on contract, while the FBs can neglect a key aspect of their job- delivering accurate crosses, while the midfield can't control the ball with a touch, while yhet players play uninspired until their ego is bruised from conceding.

It's like hiring new middle managers only and wondering why the organization isn't getting better. There's a lack of standards and desperation from all parties- except for us suffering fans.

A domestic manager would have done a better job than Bento. Look how Vietnam has improved under Park Hang seo.

That said, our players have to share the blames : they were absolutely shitty. Kim SeungGyu is the one who received the more blames but imo, he's one of the fews who had a decent tournament (among KMJ). All our opponents could have scored against us if he hadn't make the saves. 9 points at the group stage was very flattering and I had the feeling this team was going to collapse before the semi final.

And why shouldn't they? They move on to the next round. I certainly would find it strange if they don't.

The thing is we were totally sh*t today.

Let's try hiring Quique Flores. You know the 4-4-2 guy. Oh wait...

We didn't beat Germany because the players were better or because the players all of a sudden went Brazil mode. We beat Germany through tactics, Shin's style of play countered Joachim Low's. Bento would never have beaten Germany if he was coach, we probably would've lost 3-0.

People were overrating them because we won the AG (means jack shit) and we did well in the early friendlies. However, going in I didn't feel so good.

Yes the KFA are bunch of morons and our fullbacks are embarrassingly bad, but the manager still has the duty to set up the team in a way that minimizes their deficiencies. Bento tried to play a possession based 4-2-3-1 when we were missing KSY and midfield stability and had major issues at the fullback position. In this case the tactics ended up amplifying our weaknesses instead of covering them up.

A 4-4-2 works well for this team precisely because it's the most simple; idiot-proof, if you will. It would've opened things up with two strikers and would have made the tempo faster, something this team direly needed this tourney.

We don't have the talent and composure in midfield to play possession tactics without KSY.
