This. It has seemed the strategy of the Paratici era to make the one big splash every transfer market coupled with a few bargain and youth signings. We'll see how it pans out over the next few years.

I would argue that if the next "splash" signing the club makes this summer is a midfielder like Pogba, and you sign a couple reinforcements that makes us all the more competitive for CL.

You said "mods here have been banned for less" and I asked what mod has been banned for less? Literally a direct question to a statement of yours. I hope you now understand the question.

    But it is NOT irrelevant.

Maybe to you it is, but you have to look at the overall picture if you are going to actually evaluate things.

I asked a questions and didn't get an response as well. The statement I made was "mods have banned for less". I meant that people have been banned by mods for less .

Junventino keeps insulting me and nothing is done. This happens a lot and even with some other users . So my question is what is acceptable and what is not. Whom decides what the limits is?

I have asked him to not attack you personally, nothing he’s done so far is worthy of a ban.

The overall picture is that the Ronaldo purchase doesn't outweigh what Marotta did for this club

    LOL.

Now you are creating straw men.

Marotta was here for years. Ronnie only about 1.5. Paratici a little over 1.

BTW, Nedved and Paratici were part of Marotta's regime also, so they played a part in his success.

We shall see how things play out over the next few years.

Your arguing with someone who simply doesn't understand or who's intelligence is below the levels of comprehension. Don't waste your time.

Marotta took this team from a 7th place club unable to make it out of the Europa League group stage to 7 scudettos and 2 CL finals

I don't see what Patrici could do to surpass this. If the club were to win the CL with him in charge of transfers it would not compare to the improvements which Marotta brought as we were already on the brink of CL glory prior to Patrici's take over.

Arguably not. But...it’s a bit like saying that the guy who put the primer on the car is more important than the guy who does the final paint job. Dybala was forgotten on the bench, you might say, under the previous management.
Marotta ( and Allegri ) was fantastic. He just couldn’t get us to the final level. I am grateful for what they contributed, though:)

There are reports in Italy and Spain that a Bernardeschi - Rakitic swap could still happen in January.

If it happens we get a proper regista and increase the chances of going deep into the CL. But he's not worth anything close to 50m so there has to be cash involved. 35m at least .

Bernardeschi isn’t worth €50 million, no matter what Juve paid for him.

Our midfield would be improved by Rakitic, setting aside the financial aspect of the deal. He easily starts for this side.

Rakitic is 33 years old, he has one good year left if he's lucky, maybe two. Not worth it at all

Patrick Andersson, Hleb and Geovanni come to mind quickly. They were also big on Caceres for a bit. It's where we originally signed him from.
