Teams in the Super League for 2019-2020 Basel FC Zurich Lugano Luzern Neuchatel Xamax Servette Sion St. Gallen Thun Young Boys
Just noticed on the Servette site a new signing on the women's side and she is holding a Nike shirt with the white Servette club badge (which I always liked)… is Servette going back to Nike? I will be honest not a fan of the sublimated Geneva coat of arms on the past few seasons jerseys made by Fourteen.

Yeah. That's a rough go. In their first four matches they play YB, Sion, Luzern, and Basel. Could be a rough start for them. I still think they'll manage to stay up. I think Xamax is going down this year.
any moves on the transfer wire? I know GCZ have a lot of key players gone when doing a quick review of their site.

Strange and odd weekend of matches. I do not know how much there is to learn, but it was pretty exciting! I loved Servette's draw with YB, they looked really good. Now I am not sure if this is more of YB adjusting to losing a bunch of key starters, or Servette being good. Sion looked terrible against Basel. Henchoz is a good coach, I wonder if CC will stay with him for long if things do not go well at the beginning. Not sure who was more impressive Xamax with the 0-2 lead or the Thun comeback. Lugano looked really strong, FCZ did not.
27 July Basel - FCSG 1-2 - An unanticipated result. Servette - LS 0-0 28 July Lugano - Thun 0-0 Luzern - FCZ 0-0 Xamax - YB 0-1 This tied for the fewest goals scored in a weekend since the creation of the RSL. Lugano 4 Luzern 4 YB 4 Basel 3 FCSG 3 Thun 2 Servette 2 Xamax 1 Sion 1 FCZ 1
3 Aug Sion - FCZ Thun - Basel 4 Aug YB - Lugano - Early season top of the table match. Xamax - FCSG Servette - Luzern - Personally hoping for a little let down by Luzern.
10 Aug Basel - Servette 3-1 - As a Servette fan, I am biased, but T. Xhaka should have gotten a red card when it was 1-1 FCSG - YB 2-3 11 Aug Lugano - Sion 0-1 Luzern - Thun 0-2 FCZ - Xamax 2-2 YB 10 Basel 9 Sion 7 Thun 5 Servette 5 Lugano 4 Luzern 4 FCSG 4 Xamax 3 FCZ 2

Xamax tied Zurich in the 94th minute. If you didn't get to see the goal from Gaetan Karlen that tied it up, well, just take a look... 1160945941001777153 is not a valid tweet id
An incredible story about Basel's Ricky van Wolfswinkel. I'll let him tell it in his own words. 🏥 | Last week @RvWolfswinkel9 suffered a severe concussion. During the follow-up examination, an aneurysm in his head was discovered, which will require treatment. Looks like major changes coming to the RSL in 2021/2022 1. 12 clubs in RSL, 10 in BCL. 2. 22 rounds (home and home) them split into 2 groups. Top 6 play "Final Round" for championship and European Spots. Other 6 play in "Classment Round". Both would have 10 matches. One more thing is that after the groups are split into two, the points earned will be cut in half. Sort of like the old NLA. 3. 12th place team will be relegated to BCL. 11th place team will play in a play-off vs 2nd place BCL for spot. 4. The 7th place team will play with the team that is in the last Europa League spot in an home and home for the last Europa League spot. 5. BCL will stay at 10 teams. So this would mean that 2020/2021 there would not be an automatic relegation from the RSL. The top two BCL teams would be promoted and the 10th place team would play the 3rd place BCL team in a playoff.
This is all because GCZ was relegated and because Swiss teams shit the bed in Europe. Funny thing is that by doing this in Austria, not much has changed. Red Bull Salzburg still dominate the league, and the rest of the teams are mediocre to poor. Also, no one cares about the games from the relegation group. All eyes will be on the championship group, and the only games that will matter will be YB and Basel games. Also, a 10 team BCL is going to look super weak. Let's say that they promote GCZ and Lausanne. Who gets promoted after that? Vaduz? Aarau may not be playing in any top league if they can't get their stadium. Schaffhausen doesn't have the finances. Wil's stadium has seats on one side, the rest is concrete blocks. Winterthur's stadium isn't good enough. The rest are all sorta just hanging out trying to avoid the drop. Then, we add two more teams from the Promotion League, so that'll probably be Rapperswil-Jona and Yverdon. That's not really strengthening things. I don't really like this idea at all.
