Largest crowd in the league this year.

MASL finishes at 2,543 for 54 games pre-New Year's Day. Last year was 2,477 for 43 games.

Well, apparently MASL (and other soccer) teams aren't the only ones to fudge their attendance numbers.

"— Announced attendance figures sometimes differed widely from actual attendance. For example, the Las Vegas Bowl had an announced attendance of 34,197, but the scanned ticket count provided to the AP by the stadium owner, UNLV, was 16,568. The Birmingham Bowl announced 27,193 while actual attendance was 9,679. The New Mexico Bowl announced a crowd of 18,823; a San Diego Union-Tribune reporter at the game estimated actual attendance at 6,000."

6 bowl games record lowest attendance figures on record

Everyone does that. But those bowl numbers are way off.
At any rate, these MASL numbers seem to indicate the San Diego Sockers will be just fine in their new 5,000 seat arena if they do in fact build it.

Tickets for college football bowl games are usually purchased in advance by each school in the game. The schools try to find people to use the tickets, whether sold or comped. So in fact a bowl game could honestly say it's a sellout, as all tickets were 'paid for', but a look at the stands of many of these games shows tons of empty seats. Indoor soccer teams vary a lot in their honesty about attendance.

It would be great if each arena (not the teams) reported the drop count for the game - that is the number of tickets actually used/scanned for the game. Of course, some tickets are given to sponsors (who technically paid, though at a discount rate), charities, etc. If you know the actual seating capacity of the arena, as provided by the arena staff, you can sort of estimate the number of people actually attending a game. The Family Arena (St. Louis Ambush) seats 5,000 max for indoor soccer in the lower bowl -the upper bowl seating isn't used for soccer matches, though a few people may sneak up there.

Two big comeback wins in Missouri! The 2nd win in a row against two top tier teams for STL. Thought the Comets game was over when it was 7 to 2 Wave and then a total turnaround. The playoff race is starting to get more interesting!

Cal gave the Flash a great fight, just came up short. Monterrey a solid team for sure, it's just a shame they are not playing more top tier teams on their schedule this season. They play SD at home 2/3, but do not play Mil, Utica, Balt, or Fla this reg season. The majority of their remaining schedule is against Sonora, Dallas, and Mesquite.

Investors who will take a bath. Indoor teams go out of business quickly in M2 and I guess new ones come in on a shoe string for another one year stint. Heck of a turnover this year, and I expect 80% turnover next year. The mexican team plays all their games on the road, and they're blowing all the teams out. Wichita is the closest to them and just lost two in a row to the Mexicans at home.
