LPB will crush $hitty just the way they did when Pep was in Bayern. No doubt!

No I don't want that! How did you interpret that?

Im saying LPB will win the tie considering the form of City.

    Current form, yes.
But the matches are still two months away so there's hope things will change.

Would have rather gotten Lyon to be honest. But Napoli are a mess. Can't complain much.

Pep better go shopping for CBs in the winter.

    Mourinho gets a lay up.

Liverpool x Atletico interesting ... but Liverpool should get through.

    Juve hit the lottery.

    consider their defense now,maybe.
Hazard may return later, with Pep's current defense,he would eat them alive

They don't even need Hazard to eat their defense alive to be honest. And Pep has already checked out IMO. He might not even care to go into the market in the winter transfer season.

he might have checked out of the league but he is simply a good winter transfer from sorting his team out in time for KOs of CL

We will see . Not sure Pep is the type of guy who can turn off on one competition and then turn it on on another .

The Madrid board are happy like they were last season with the Ajax draw. Nothing will be better if Pep pulls this off .

Shit we got Napoli... Honestly this is the worst possible draw tied with Tottenham. I am really worried we'll be out in the R16. Remember this is a team that allowed Liverpool a total of 2 goals over 4 matches this season and last and generally outplayed them. I don't know how people aren't worried by this draw.

    You're optimistic. I like it!

That's a wrong way of thinking about it IMO. You want an easy draw in the KO rounds because sometimes breaks can go your way later.

For the record I think we can win the entire CL but I would have preferred an easier opponent.

Although the field is not as strong as in the past, there won't be "easy" draws after R16 IMO unless you get some upsets like Atalanta, RB Leipzig. 2 months is a good time to get the house in order, but I don't think we have the pieces to do it.

I think we can pull it off if the front three is firing and MAtS is clutch. Plus our chemistry could and should get better after two more months.

Sigh... it is what it is I guess. Still think anyone else would be a better draw. Napoli scares me. They also played PSG really well last year drawing both matches IIRC.

Yeah, I only realized yesterday that Gattuso was their manager. Wow! They must be desperate! So... yeah, pretty good draw for Barca. Not that Napoli won't cause some concern, especially in the first-leg in Naples.

Overall it was a brilliant draw, I thought. Lots of interesting and evenly balanced matchups. I'd say 4 of the matches are close to 50/50. And even a couple that have a clear favorite you can still envision a surprise (e.g Dortmund v PSG and, sadly, Napoli v Barca)

Yup. E.g. Madrid 2016 and Porto 2004.

Pretty much anyone can win CL with 2 or 3 favorable KO round draws. Very few can win with 4 tough draws.

He isn't, but with the depth they have (if healthy) I don't see that as much of a factor. i.e. I don't think they need to focus on CL 100% to beat Real Madrid. Especially now that England have a winter-break. Madrid isn't focused 100% on CL either.

    Injuries are more the issue.
