Nashville expansion draft trades: Valentine and 75k in '21 TAM to Houston for Joe Willis Vazquez to FCC for allocation money (150k TAM and 50k in '21 GAM). Also, Nashville sends 50k in GAM, 125k in TAM, and '20 international slot to SKC for Adrian Zendejas. Also also, Lovitz to Nashville from Montreal for 50k in GAM, 50k in TAM, and a '20 international slot
Hmm.. I'm not sure the back-up keeper would have been the player I would have taken from the Sounders. I wonder if Tyler Miller's performance for LAFC may have influenced this choice some?
But they were exempt last year due to having someone take by LA. By your transitive reading of the draft, it’s technically still the 2017 one and you already lost someone, so the point is moot. Thx, Jay!
We were exempted from the FCC draft because we'd lost a player in the previous expansion draft. The Crew have lost at least one player in every expansion draft the league's ever held for which the club's been eligible (recall, you used to be able to lose more than one player, and exemptions from a draft for having lost a player in the previous one is a fairly new thing). Columbus has now lost 17 players in these drafts, 4 more than the next closest club.

My error. They could not lose anyone to Cincinnati as it was a continuation of the prior one, when they did lose a player. EDIT: as MInnmann has said.
