I think the CL is killing the world cup. No one seems to care. Seems almost more fun to make it amateur coed strip soccer.

Morocco are better suited to the champions league given that they have 17 foreign born players in their 23 !!

    Ridiculous imho

I'm not sure how I feel. Maybe it's because the US isn't playing, but this tournament, I'm really noticing the difference in quality between CL games and WC games. The CL games are MUCH better on average. But maybe that's just because there don't seem to be the usual handful of impressive, exciting teams in the tournament.

I do still prefer the WC, though, since I have some rooting interests even without the US involved. With the CL, I have no attachment to any Euro pro teams unless they have a Yank on them, so I really don't care at all who wins those games (other than rooting against Real, Bayern, and whoever Mourinho is coaching).

The WC is so much better than the CL. Saying otherwise is screaming, talking head, "look what I can say!" crap. So boring.

Costa Rica are parking the bus, but Brazil look like they have no answers. Neymar is going to come away with a well-deserved "OVERRATED" tag after this tournament at this rate.

also, Navas is crushing it today.

Going into the tourney I thought Croatia had a decent shot at getting into the Quarters, after seeing these two performances, they may have been the most impressive Ive seen, but are they peaking too early?

obviously Argentina are going to be doing nothing special this world cup, but it doesnt look like Brazil will be either.

This group could realistically have Serbia and Switzerland getting out of the group

Neymar must have heard he had 10 fouls the first game, and thought he could get calls, every time someone comes near him he is flopping down.

Maybe so but on 2006 it was a smashing event. All over the world peopke were gripped. Now? None of my German friends care, Tokyo is dead. Mexico City might be the best place on Earth right now.

Navas saved their bacon repeatedly today. And as soon as Costa Rica started making fools of themselves, karma punched them in the gut.

I'm so glad CR is going to lose after that nonsense. I'm equally glad that Coutinho is upstaging Neymar.

If Im playing Brazil, Im hacking Neymar all night long. He responded extremely poor and I do believe you can get him out of the game.
