A lot of hate Carlos Vela is getting for being in MLS but he looks good and at Sociedade he looked good but some say lacked motivation at times well I can’t blame him playing for that club you’re never going to win anything so the LAFC move makes sense financially and in the long term A lot of these guys don’t get enough respect imo especially after the seasons the likes of Herrera, Lozano and to a lesser extent Vela, Raul, Layun, and Cheech have had .....some of these Mexican guys could get into teams like Portugal and Spain imho and that’s the truth Anyway I still think a lot will be on the CBs as they will have to be solid Raul and Cheech will be playing for possibly a transfer.
Vela is doing good and he was still one of Mexico's most dangerous players in the Hex and the Confederations Cup. Even though he was seeing less playing time at Real Sociedad in 2017. Chicharito has had a bad season but he still managed to be the number two scorer for his team. Raul had an ok season and it will be interesting to see were he will transfer next season. I don't see him staying unless Jonas goes for a big paycheck in China. I agree the defense is what really matters for Mexico. Speaking of forwards. Who do you think is going to be up top with Ronaldo? Andre Silva had a terrible season with AC Milan. Honestly, I feel like Porto made off like bandits with his transfer.
It’s definitely going to be Andre Silva in a Portugal kit he does well and may need this opportunity to get into the groove.
Also we could see Gonçalo Guedes start with Ronaldo but I think he will be LW with Quaresma/Gelson Martins being the RW and Ronaldo/Silva up top. Defense willl probaly be Mario Rui, Alves, Pepe and Pereira
It was a pipe dream that he would go to the WC after his injury... At least he was honest about not taking spot if he weren't fit...
Really sucks that Araujo won't be there but I think this should mean Reyes stays as a CB mostly while Edson moves into that CDM role. Mostly also because Salcedo is back and healthy.
To be fair, Molina has had better stats in than Gallito Vazquéz... It's not just his height and aerial ability that gives him an edge... 998945402908020737 is not a valid tweet id
Are these Liga MX numbers? If so his numbers are really not much higher and in any case he has played nothing of note with the NT. For whatever reason, the best Mexican playing in Liga MX didn't make the cut after some lackluster NT performances and I'm honestly ok with that. If you have two players with similar numbers I would have just gone with what has proven to work already in the past for that specific platform.
