That's how I felt walking into the stadium for the last game of the season against Orlando. But it wound up being a lot of fun. Current forecast (as of 2/19) from weather.com for 3/3: Rain showers early with clearing later at night. Low near 35F. Winds NNW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 40%. https://weather.com/weather/tenday/l/USPA0268:1:US
You mean like a cold-war era defection (think Soviet hockey player at the Olympics), or more like the SOB's would need to kidnap him?
We're going to be just like Leicester City! (2016-17 Leicester City that is. LC finished 12-18-8 last season.)
Now that's optimistic, Union seasons are usually done by May with a rare April special every so often.
So 8 wins.....5 of which will come before the end of April......man.....May-Oct is going to be even more depressing...........
Things change! Weather changes and you guys are looking 12 days out. It now says 48-50 with 10% chance of rain. I hope that is correct, because I plan on tailgateing before the game. Got my forcast from weather.com
Another off week... MLS is killing me with this. Bethlehem does play the Rowdies Saturday night.. I guess that will need to hold me over. Wonder if they’ll send any 1st team guys to that game.
977243750681505794 is not a valid tweet id GET EXCITED. In context of the schedule: Friday July 6th v. Atlanta (probably fireworks game) Wednesday July 11th @ Chicago SATURDAY JULY 14TH WOO HOO AWESOME FRIENDLY WE ALL CARE ABOUT Saturday July 21st vs zLAtan
Honestly, the U need those more so than other teams. None of these guys move the needle (in the right direction) for ticket sales so if Frankfurt comes in and they make a few bucks then cool. Same with LA with Beckham or Gerrard or Zlatan. We’re obviously not going to ever have stars so they better the sell on the sizzle of other teams’ investments.
Frankfurt is a good Bundesliga team, but it's not going to bring anyone out, let's be honest.... we talk about moving the needle... they aren't going to do it. Friendlies are only good when they are a marketing opportunity that can pull in people that wouldn't have interest in the Union otherwise... no casual fan is going to rush out to see Frankfurt... it will be Union regulars and a small number of Frankfurt fans that don't give a damn about the Union anyway. To help the Union these team need to be big mainstream clubs that grab the casual fans interest.
I've had a few people I work with aak me how hard it will be too get Union tickets to see Zlatan. I sort of did a "reaction chuckle" at the idea of Union tickets being hard to get, but I bet it will be the biggest crowd of the year. The river end filled with old ZI Man U and PSG jerseys, to be sure.
Because we all know we’ll still get the USOC game for free and can sell our STH seats to the friendly for decent money.
