I appreciate that the Union are so bad they get so few national broadcasts. It makes me more likely to pay for MLS Live this year. I hate that national broadcasts are blacked out on there.
I mean it sucks they are going to lose their team and all... and they are totally getting done dirty.... but if I'm being selfish, Austin strikes me as a much better away trip than C-Bus.
We had better start stronger than most years. There are points to be had in the first seven games, but I don't see many in the next dozen or so.
I know a "Deep in the Heart of Texas" chant during the Columbus games is probably in poor taste, but it seems like too good of an opportunity to pass up.... probably won't happen though since everyone cares about feelings now. Just a few years ago we were teasing DCU about moving to Baltimore, would never happen in 2018.
You could probably get the whole stadium in on it, too, especially with the clapping portion. It would be amaze-balls. An idea for tifo, too.
I checked out the partial season ticket plans today since we're looking at moving to a more expensive (read: sheltered with seats) section that we can bring the baby to. Even the 5-game plans seem expensive to go watch the Union lose. The kicker is that they restrict the games you can pick so that of ATL, LA, NYRB, NYFC, and I think TFC, you can only pick one. The other four games are all second raters. And we all know those tickets will be available on game day. So here I am, season ticket holder for seven years, can't even convince myself to get a five game package for this shitty team.
Call your ticket rep. He/she likely will allow you to buy whatever 5 games you want. Things seem pretty negotiable this offseason.
Does anyone here know why the game time is TBD? I'm planning on going to the game but with it being TBD it is hard to really make plans. Does anyone know when they plan on having a set time for the match? I like Bailey's in mine!
Contact your ticket rep. They often can find out inside information that is not official yet. If you are not a STH, call the ticket office and ask to speak with a ticket rep. They’re desperate to speak with anyone not a STH.
Ya, the national tv schedule sucks for the Union! Thankfully I live in Maryland ( no local blackouts) and will have MLS DirectKick, so no missing any Union matches.
Probably in a doomsday scenario if Phils game ends up on PHL at the same time as 6 having something bigger on.
Does 3-4 hours really make it that much different? It's going to be cold either way. It's not like it would be 60-70 in the daylight. It'll be ~40 degrees (maybe 20-30 if theres a cold front or bad wind chill).
