Orona is huge. Not super tall but bulky. Doesn’t seem that fast to me though. Seems like one of those soft but bulky players, estilo Guti. Kevin Álvarez is significantly more athletic and sharp but he’s a shorty just like Abella.
Orona, Trejo, Sepulveda, all of them are pretty big. Maybe not that tall but being around the last 2 U20's teams, I thought this team looked bigger than the 2017 defenders. Unfortunately it didn't mean shit when it came to the games, quite the opposite.
De mal en peor va esta mierda llamada fútbol mexicano. En liga, y cualquier nivel de selección. Pero bueno, mientras millones sigan consumiendo esta basura.
Did'nt quite see the game so im not going to hold judgment too much and sound to harsh. With that said, its never to good loosing to the U.S. specially in a final.................but well, hopefully we will be able to recover. Ohhhhh..........................boy, Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, peace!!!
Off the top of my head we missed Jona Gonzalez, alvarado, arteaga, maleck, antuna, and vargas. I think the 6 of them would be starters too. Marcel ruiz could get in as well. Adding these dudes makes us a way better team. Just imagine a combination up front of misael, lainez, alvarado, antuna, macias or maleck.
Yeah Alvarado, Arteaga and Antuna are not eligible to play with this team. And besides Gonzalez and Vargas (who got injured in the 1st game) none of the players are defensive where there is the biggest problems we have.
Glad didn't watch a single game from this tournament. Just looking at the posts here, I know Mexico was mediocre.
ALV! Sucks they can't play. All those guys wouldn't turn 21 until after the world cup Except Antuna he is 21 I honestly thought he was younger. I was hoping our offensive group would be enough to cover the shite backline but know I have low expectations for these guys.
there's a few options in the back but honestly idk if theyre a whole lot better luis olivas carlos robles alan maeda
The cutoff date is January 1, 1999. Yeah all those guys were part of the process and didn't get called up and it's not like they are having so much playing time that their clubs wouldn't allow them. They probably are going the Jairo Torres route and not developing as expected.
Yeah although by history, Mexico would have had a worse time in Group F than in Group B. Yet sick and tired of the shit luck.
