I have to say I'm disappointed I didn't see any staff from the @NERevolution at the 2018 @MLS combine in Orlando.— Bauston Diehards 🏈 ⚾🏀🏒⚽ (@BaustonDiehards) January 17, 2018 Possible that Revs were there only when this observer was not. Or, Revs were there the whole time, visible, and this is just an attempt to stir things up, for whatever reason. Or, possible that Revs were not ever there. Or, were there, but hard to see (I'm laughing now, imagining trenchcoats collar up, widebrimmed hats pulled down low, dark sunglasses. After all, why let on that you might participate in the draft.) Or....

2018 MLS Mock SuperDraft: Revolution Select Mouthino, Twumasi in First Round What will Brad Friedel and the Revs do with back to back first round picks? We gave it our best shot in the SBN annual Mock Draft. By Jake Catanese Jan 17, 2018, 10:06am EST The Bent Musket
Draft day is no way as much fun or important as it was in the early years but it is still something to fill tha long months between seasons and it's allows been like playing the Lottery. Ever once in awhile you win big. I'm interested to see if Burns can trade to move up and who they are targeting.
Not as plugged in to the college scene as I used to be, but I do hear very good things about Dartmouth CB Wyatt Omsberg, a Maine kid who's big and athletic. Possibly a sleeper since he plays at an Ivy League school?
Getting Mouthino at 8 would be a miracle. I don't get why so many people think the Revs will draft a forward.
The eighth overall pick belongs to @NERevolution, and they select midfielder/defender Brandon Bye (@brandon_bye) out of @WMUMensSoccer. #SuperDraft pic.twitter.com/fWKHDWhfWF— Major League Soccer (@MLS) January 19, 2018
Described as a project. The skills that @brandon_bye brings to the table. #SuperDraft https://t.co/soiBPUHD13— Major League Soccer (@MLS) January 19, 2018
#NERevs take Western MIchigan D Brandon Bye with No. 8 pick. That one is a surprise, for sure.— Jeff Carlisle (@JeffreyCarlisle) January 19, 2018 At #8, New England selects Western Michigan's Brandon Bye, an athletic forward who projects as a right back. That one qualifies as the first big reach of the first round, but there's no denying Bye is one of the best athletes in the player pool. #MLSSuperDraft #NERevs— Ives Galarcep (@SoccerByIves) January 19, 2018 Bye nearly accidentally thanks Philadelphia instead of New England and the crowd here at the Combine were ready to jump all over him. Not quite a Zack Schilawski thanking the wrong team moment.— Ives Galarcep (@SoccerByIves) January 19, 2018
Ives says that it is the big reach of the draft, but no denying he's one of the best athletes in the pool apropos of nothing, but it strikes me as a tad amusing that if you look at the board, it would say that the Revs having a Bye in that 8th draft spot.
Friedel talking about the picks... "We got the first two names we wanted." Who says otherwise ever? "Lots of athleticism, lots of pace."
OK then... are we saying hello to our future castoffs? I really hope they are working on more signings.
At #9 New England selects converted fullback and Wisconsin product Mark Segbers. Very similar profile to Bye, which leads me to believe they will trade one, unless they project Bye more as a defensive midfielder. #MLSSuperDraft— Ives Galarcep (@SoccerByIves) January 19, 2018
