Seeking his third cap, #CrewSC’s @CristianJM18 joins Panama prior to its friendly with Venezuela on Sept. 11! 🇵🇦🌍 ➡️ https://t.co/AaEx9kmLrZ pic.twitter.com/v4K3RRv5Xe— The Crew (@ColumbusCrew) September 4, 2018 Martínez has been called up by Panama for a friendly against Venezuela.
Gregg Berhalter said today that #CrewSC would bring @alexcrognale back from Orange County next week with a congested match schedule upcoming.— Patrick Murphy (@_Pat_Murphy) September 5, 2018 CROGDOR heading home from the OC. He's played 1,538 minutes over 18 matches (17 starts) and scored four goals for the Erstwhile Blues.
4 goals is pretty solid for a center back. I watched his games in college and he scored a lot back then too. Would love for us to start benefitting from that.
He scores when he wants! He scores when he wants! Alex Crognale, he scores when he wants (especially in college)! @allofyoupervertedferrets, I obviously mean goals. Just loads and loads, all over. Scoring all the time, just dripping in the goals.
Passing angles/distance mapped for the Crew: My son took 45 minutes to eat a bowl of cereal this morning, so I was able to make some progress on improving the pass angle field maps. Is it including passes from goal kicks? While it seems they are doing it less now, this season started off with so any goal kicks being taken short to our own corner flags!
Can I mention we have the lowest goals scored of any team currently in the playoffs. This is a real problem.
Second lowest in the entire league, only ahead of Colorado. Though we do have the 4th best defense, only behind Seattle, Red Bulls, Atlanta, and tied with KC.
To recap my post in the post-game thread. Our offense is terrible. Zardes on his longest goalless game streak of the season, Pipa not on the scoresheet for 10 games. Santos hasn't scored since MARCH! Our successful attacks all seem to run through Afful. I'm not necessarily against that, but I'd much rather he be adding something extra rather than being the loan creative force of the team.
True...So Hansen gets a brace in Portland and then back to the bench...yet YET Santos gets the call to waste chances..Thats on coach Greg...
Santos I think is a better creator than Hansen but I think Hansen MIGHT be a better finisher. I guess it’s a trade off.
Statistically, Santos is the worst finisher in the history of the league. Nearly 3x worse than the previous record. Dairon Asprilla finished at a .08g/90, Santos sits at .03g/90.
