    Really? o_O

So the only thing stopping you from spawning a bunch of 2018 pre-game threads right now is a lack of a 2018 MLS schedule?

And what's stopping the team's official website from posting a 2018 preseason article in December 2017?

    Oh, wait...

    GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!!

interesting. I thought OCFC was a LAFC affiliate.

I took my nephews to the soft grand opening of the stadium. If you see the big orange balloon next to where 405 and 5 meet, thatʻs where it is. itʻs pretty nice and small. the rows go maybe 10 rows up. you can go directly to the fence behind both goals, on one side is a grassy area and the other some picnic tables and food trucks. thereʻs also an in-n-out food truck. parking is kinda weird. If you donʻt find parking next to the stadium, you have to walk a bit, like avaya. Since itʻs a day game, it might be busy, since thereʻs lots of fields and courts and stuff to do, but I think worth it to go to.

I can't believe the start of the season is only two months away. I'm glad that we have made our major signings earlier rather one week before the season starts.

That looks like an interesting twelve team tournament. Great time to experiment with the new signings, formations, tactics, etc. The roster (new players AND coach) is uncommonly in place (maybe not all, but many) more than a day or two before MLS' opening day.

For those looking to go the game in Colorado, I went to a Rapids game last year during the Great American Beer Festival and the stadium is way out in the suburbs and not particularly memorable. Just a head's up.

We are planning on going to the game, but the primary reason for traveling is to visit my son and his girlfriend who moved to Denver this past summer.

Love to attend the Great American Beer Festival. It's on my list.

Isn't that adjacent to the Great American Porta-Potty festival?

I remember back when we first moved to the Bay Area from Idaho, my MIL saw signs for the Campbell Prune Festival (yeah, that WAS a thing!) and wryly wondered if the next weekend was reserved for the Campbell kaopectate festival! :D

    This is odd.

In previous years MLS has announced when training camps open, and it's usually earlier in the year. And the draft is oddly later this year than in previous seasons. So we don't know when our guys are supposed to report to camp.

11Jan to 17Jan is the open trials. UNMNT Camp runs until 11Jan (is that why the delay this season?).

So at the earliest, Quakes Camp opens 18Jan, or more likely, 22Jan (a Monday).

Do we know any different? Am I missing something? Was my google search not accurate?

    Go Quakes!!

The team is definitely behind in announcing its pre-season plans. Look for an announcement just after the last pre-season match. Just kidding.

Years ago, I found this web page (http://ussoccer.gameofficials.net/public/schedules/schedule.cfm?group=10001&iLeagueID=[[[ALL]]]&searchLevel=display&strGameLevel=[[[ALL]]]&iTeamID=45669). Please note that it is not always accurate and is subject to change.

@Socarchist, thanks, but that only tells me about the preseason games. I want to know when the guys are supposed to report to camp. When do work outs begin?

If the first preseason game is 31Jan18, in Tucson, then do our guy report to camp in SJ on the 22Jan18? So they'll have a week and a half of working together before they play the ForestKillers?

See, that would tell us what sort of shape to expect from our team. They need to spend sometime working together before we can expect much, or even take any hints from the preseason games.

    Go Quakes!!

According to jungwirth, he is training with his former club until he returns to the team on Monday. So I'm assuming this Monday is when the preseason physicals/preparations begin
