Pool boy news that I saw on reddit. Team interested and expects to sign him. :fingers cross: https://as.com/futbol/2018/07/13/segunda/1531484955_745267.html
"Tenemos un acuerdo firme" = we have a firm agreement, which is very good news. "Esperemos que pueda ser oficial a finales de mes" = we hope it will be finalized by the end of the month, when it is just the 13th and the agreement is supposedly firm, is much stranger. Unless the agreement is with Pool Boy and they haven't wrapped it up with RSL.
Why does the article mention Real Madrid several times instead of RSL? Also, Ortuno was at Albacete early in his career. They might be getting there own Yura version.
RSL need not seek awesome terms. Awesome terms are to no longer be paying his salary and opening up the roster spot.
The awesome terms might be trying to get them to pay the whole salary. Sounds like we payed him more than he had been making in Spain, so this could be another Yura issue where we can't recoup all of the money and DLH has to pay the rest for Waibel's failure. How great is that happening 2 times in a position that is very important to DLH in a contract year for the GM? (DLH likes goal scoring as was mentioned a number of times in the first couple of years with him owning the team, I imagine it's still the same and he would rather see a high scoring team than a defensive slog of a team.)
This mistake is on Waibel, but I kinda-sorta suspect from past comments that Yura is as much on Dell Loy as on the GM.
I'm sure the league is thinking he's a repeat offender at this point and they want to seriously discourage further (even though completely warranted) outbursts. How much did the GoFundMe cover?
I also wonder how much of it may stem from swearing on broadcast TV. I haven't checked the GoFundMe, but I doubt Mike accepts it. The NYRB supporter's tried the same thing when he got fined there and Mike had them donate it to a charity.
What? Saying "shit" on TV? Why would he get fined for that when you can hear it everywhere on TV nowadays.
The swearing has little to do with the penalty. They hit him hard because he: 1) criticized the officiating in the game, and 2) criticized the officiating, especially VAR, league-wide, and 3) has done this a couple of times before, and 4) made it personal with the guy who determines the penalties. Especially this.
I see that the MLS or PRO is furthering our punishment by having B. Toledo as the CR for this weekends game, fun. I also would like to predict that we will have Chapman or Unkle for the San Jose game.
