Nothing really new to report on the roster front.. I'm not even aware of there being any rumors of the Sounders being interested in players...

One person on twitter takaway from Wolff's highlight videos

    a) good in transition attacks b) good on set pieces c) good in small spaces

Definatelly someone we need in that midfield.

A midfield that is already pretty crowded with Rodriguez, Roldan x2, Alonso, Lodeiro, and, at times, Morris.. It just seems like a depth signing and I’m not sure that is what TAM should be used for..

*shrug* I can’t poopoo the guy at all since I know literally nothing about him... I was just expecting more this offseason..

We do have a lot of TAM to use so i don't see it being a problem. Morris is going to be played at top now. And Dempsey will probably get his share of days off, Loderio will get national duty calls up. Alonso will probably have some days off now of course it won't matter if he gets injured again.

Alex Roldan will probably see S2 time at start.

This is a good problem to have.

Good problem, perhaps. I just think there are better uses for TAM.;) Like getting an DP quality South American and using it to buy down Alonso. *shrug* Just seems like the Sounders aren't keeping up with the Joneses right now.

Morris looks like to be out 6-9months with a ACL injury

Hopefully Garth has a striker waiting in the wings.. If Morris is out, we're back to relying upon Bruin as the lone striker and I'm not sure he has a repeat of last year in him.. it would also be nice just to have a backup so that Bruin/Dempsey can get a rest from time to time.

According to the Seattle times Garth did say they are immediately looking to bring in an attacking forward DP player. Whether they are successful before may or it'll have to be this summer is yet to remain seen.

Anyone else feeling underwhelmed by the offseason business? With Jordan going down and no buzz on potential new signings, my new season tix feel less exciting. Assuming we really have to wait for the summer window for a decent DP. I always get a little confused about how our season links up with the rest of the world (mostly Europe).

    Current foreign players are:

    Jordy Delem
    Magnus Wolff Eikrem
    Kim Kee-hee
    Kelvin Leerdam
    Victor Rodriguez
    Nouhou
    Gustave Svensson

That means the Sounders now have 1 open international slot.

Bad timing with VRod getting hurt. But perhaps we have some young, fast, creative TAM signings coming. One lives in hope.

After being sighted by a Sounder in fan sharing pics with Garth, Hurtado may be heading to Turkey instead. Two newspapers reporting a Turkish team has entered the fray at the last moment. Hurtado was allegedly going to get his physical and sign with the Sounders today. :(

Looks like Turkey it is. https://www.sounderatheart.com/soun...657512/paolo-hurtado-konyaspor-transfer-rumor . I fear the potential trade for Kelyn Rowe may be for Nouhou, not Francis.
