Love the midfield 3 for the first half. Wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what we go with for the opening game against West Ham.

3-0 at halftime. Goals for Camacho, Ojo, and Lallana.

Excellent performances from Lallana and Ojo. Andy Robertson was superb. What a player.

Fabinho saw a lot of the ball. Sat in front of the defense and looked very composed. Not much from Keita, but when he got on the ball he showed his quality.

Solanke had 2 big chances but didn’t score.

Really good entertaining first half for the Reds. Fast slick passing , plenty of good running off the ball and quick closing down. Some of the young kids are certainly showing well what they can do . Ojo, Kent and Camacho all having solid games. Fabinho looks much more comfortable , Lallana looks sharp as does Keita.

Uh oh! A classic Karius flap from a straightforward strike straight at him.

Poor lad. That’s the last thing he needs.

The second half squad played the opposite of what we saw in the first half . Gone was the slick fluid passing , instead the play was slower disjointed and little or no penetration in the Tranmere box.
I thought Karius should have done better tho tbf the shot was a rocket , too hard to catch I'd say but the rebound went right to the Tranmere player following up. No chance on the second after a give away with a mix up between Chirivella and Milner.
Studge and Milner were the pick of the bunch I'd say none of the rest will be happy with their performances.

Poor from the 2nd half team and poor from Karius. It was a clear mistake and the last thing he needed.

Ward made a great save in the first half. Is there an open competition?

Karius is going to lose his team mates confidence if he keeps doing things like that.

Teamsheet is out for Bury. Danny Ward remains at Melwood and Karius expected to play 90 minutes. Ward likely will get 90 minutes against Blackburn.

    First half:
    Karius
    Clyne Matip VVD Moreno
    Fabinho
    Milner Jones
    Ojo Sturridge Origi

Harry Wilson absent as well. He is on the verge of a loan move to Derby.

2nd half will be something like:

    Karius
    Camacho Gomez Klavan Robertson
    Chiravella
    Keita Woodburn
    Lallana Solanke Kent
Not really sure how that 2nd half team will lineup. Phillips is also available at center back. So Klopp good go Gomez at RB especially if he sees him starting their against West Ham, since Trent probably won’t be ready. In that case, drop Chiravella and play Camacho in the front 3.

Karius is being given the chance to show that what he can do. And rightly so despite what many of us may [already] think of him.

0-0 at halftime. The first half team couldn’t create much.

Curtis Jones a standout player again! Only 17, and outperforming a lot of our senior players.

Origi saw a lot of the ball, including being in on goal once, but nothing to show for it.

True, but the fact that Ward is being given the same chance says it all.

Fulltime. 0-0. If you didn’t watch, you didn’t miss much.

Naby Keita was the best player in the 2nd half team. Can’t wait to see him play with Mane, Firmino, and Salah.

You can’t read into these preseason games, however there are some players that should be desperate to impress. Solanke and Origi have failed to do so so far. Sturridge has looked sharper. Woodburn hasn’t made a big impression on any of these games so far. Jones and Camacho who are the two youngest are doing very well.
