http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/43594746 Liverpool and Manchester United are set to meet in pre-season in the US, with the second biggest stadium in the world lined up as a potential venue. The game will be part of the annual International Champions Cup in July. While a venue has yet to be agreed, Michigan's 107,000-capacity 'Big House' in Ann Arbor is a possible option for the game. The capacity has been reduced from when 109,000 watched United play Real Madrid there in 2014. The biggest stadium in the world is the 114,000-capacity Rungrado 1 May Stadium in Pyongyang, North Korea. Liverpool and United met in the final of the 2014 event in Miami, with Louis van Gaal's team winning 3-1. The ICC has featured increasingly high-profile matches in recent years. United met City in Houston in the first Manchester derby to be played outside England in 2017 and Barcelona and Real Madrid played in El Clasico in Miami. It is understood there will be no repeat of the Manchester derby this term, with City, who could also face Jurgen Klopp's side, preferring to base themselves on the east coast of the US, with United on the west. This summer's fixtures are due to be announced next week, with Real Madrid, AC Milan and Juventus among the high-profile clubs set to be involved.
True ,Sam . But inspite of that I'm thinking the game in Michigan may be on the cards . Both of my sons , my grandson and probably my wife too will be interested in seeing this one. Only about an hours drive from Windsor me thinks.
22 July Liverpool vs Borussia Dortmund (Bank of America Stadium) 25 July Manchester City vs Liverpool (MetLife Stadium) 28 July Manchester United vs Liverpool (Michigan Stadium) http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...July-28-International-Champions-Cup-2018.html
My daughter in Colorado is ready to drag her Spurs loving hubbie to this to join me (they are both UMich grads). Looks like I'm there. See yous then.
Group stage is finished between June 25 and June 28, so its 3.5 to 4 weeks to these games. Assume the lads will take 2 weeks and then join up on the trip. Senegal is in a tough group so they could be finished then, which would put Mane back in time for the US trip. Mo has a chance to put Egypt through, so he may not make these games. If they don't go through, Egypt is done the June 25, which should make him available. Firmino likely won't be available. England should go through which means Hendo, Ox, Gomez and possibly Trent won't be available. Are Lovren or Grujic going to be on the Croatia/Serbia teams? VVD, Gini, Milner and Robbo aren't going. Naby isn't going. Origi probably isn't going. Woodburn isn't going. If Can stays, going to the WC seems unlikely. Pulisic and Jorginho aren't going. Ruben Neves probably is. So possible lineups at least by the time they play City or Dortmund Karius Clyne Matip VVD Moreno Gini Milner Keita Salah Origi Mane Not hateful.
The prices hover around $100 in the supporters end. I may do Charlotte or N.J. but really that’s criminal. And I suspect it will largely be a mix of first team and U23s. I have enjoyed going in the past to these but I feel exploited. Not by the club but the Chelski/Manc loving Charlie Stilitano putting these on
Never been to Detroit so I'm thinking about going to the Big House game. Not to mention, it's the "last" game of the three so maybe we'll have more starters.
Yeah the pricing has prevented me from attending in the past, but my daughter and nephew are into it so I figured its worth it for a one time thing.
well, since Munich was where the first rally of the National Socialists in 1923 took place, it's hard to know what to expect.
Have my tickets to Liverpool/United in Ann Arbor. Only one row up from the field in the supporter's section...can't wait!
Hopefully you get to see some of the big name players in that game - especially since we have a decent amount not in the WC

Yeah me too, thanks. I'm hoping at the very least for Wijnaldum, Robertson, van Dijk and Keita to be there, and I have a bit of a soft spot for Wilson as well. I'm pretty excited about it. Have any of you ever been? Are there any signing opportunities?
Fabinho should be available also. We only sent 8 players to the World Cup. I was surprised it wasn’t more. The front 3, Trent, Hendo, Mingolet, Lovren, and Gruijic. I’m going to the game in New Jersey against City.
