https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2018...oming-out-retirement-again-liga-mxs-club-leon I am astonished; I am particularly astonished that a Liga MX club signs a 35 years old guy who hasn't played in 18 months (after being already stopped before for another year)
I've seen this story popping up a lot this weekend. She might be familiar to some here. Meghan Cameron is now the assistant director of player personnel with Sporting KC.
She’s put in her time and earned her shot. Congrats. The next front for women is more directing roles in Hollywood. Hope they put in the same work Meghan has; 8 years In mls Offices dealing with player contracts and acquisitions. I remember in the 1990’s the tv show Married with Children had some of its episodes directed by the actress that played Marcy Darcy; an open lesbian at that early time.
Marketing, Jersey sales, brand recognition in US. Same reasons Liverpool and Manchester United have been linked to Pulisic
I have seen comments of Mexican fans, they're not exactly happy about this. Donovan retired at the end of 2014, did not play in 2015, unretired at the end of 2016 and played a couple of months (poorly, mostly), did not play in 2017. If DCU wanted to get a 35 y.o. player who has kept this rhytm in the last 3 years, would you be happy about it? This seems very far from L'pool and Man Utd wanting to get a 20 y.o. young promise who could potentially be really explosive in the future.
Yes, but that doesn't make it a good idea. Plus, these two guys are Mexican icons, Donovan is like pepper spray in your eyes for Mexicans
https://www.sounderatheart.com/2018...cacaf-champions-league-qualification-sounders I've got a headache
The best part about Landy going to Leon is the number he will have on his shirt. Liga MX is a lot more hit and miss than some recognize. There's a lot of strange shit in that league and a lot of it somehow works out for them.
You haven't answered the question, would you want your team to sign a 35 y.o. player who has been on the field 3 months in the last 3 years?
Not my team. I don't care. I wouldn't sign him. He almost made a MLS comeback last year. He's a known commodity.
Penny Marshall leads the league in directing real films but a quick tour of google will spew forth a very large list of women directors here and abroad. Which side of the plate they bat from has no place in the discussion
