I'm starting this thread as a catch all for discussion about the lead-up to the Women's Soccer Committee's decisions on the 2018 NCAA Tournament seeds and at large selections. For a start, I've just published 2 posts at the RPI and Bracketology for DI Women's Soccer Blogspace: NCAA TOURNAMENT BRACKETOLOGY: WHAT MATTERS MOST TO THE COMMITTEE? POST 2017 UPDATE HOW MANY TOP 60 OPPONENTS SHOULD WE SCHEDULE, FOR NCAA TOURNAMENT PURPOSES? POST-2017 UPDATE These posts use data from the last 11 years. The first post gives some insight into the factors that have the greatest influence over the Committee when making its NCAA Tournament seeding and at large selection decisions. The second post provides information on the number of Top 60 opponents you should expect teams to play if they are going to successfully compete for seeds or at large selections. I first published on these topics last year, so these are updates following incorporation of data from the 2017 season.
