It's at home and I think the high possibility of a win is there. For some reason, though, I feel like a loss will be the result.
Wonder how tired Borek will be after two full games during the international break and traveling from Philly to Czech Republic to Slovakia to Ukraine and back to Philly.
It never ceases to amaze me that MLS keeps scheduling games head-to-head with the local NFL teams (and against Ohio State football in Columbus). It's different if it's the NBA/NHL/MLB since they have so many more games than MLS. I know MLS doesn't yet know those schedules when they release their schedule, but they could reserve the right to move those games earlier/later in the day once the football schedule is released. Besides, they already have to think ahead for teams like NYC, Seattle, and NE that share venues and aren't the primary tennant, so why not factor this in too? I realize there are some scheduling issues with national broadcasts, but I would think ESPN, FOX, etc. would accommodate as they don't want to see empty stands on their broadcasts and have no one from that market tune in because they're watching the NFL. MLB has faced this reality when schedulimg their playoff games (the ones fans supposedly REALLY want to watch), but MLS can't do it for their regular season games?
MLS doesn't know the NFL schedule when theirs comes out. They should just do Sunday nights if they have to play Sundays at all.
I thought it was pretty good, too, but a part of me thinks they are trying to coat tail off of Gritty.
I phoresee a collaboration series of videos where the "Philly Phab Phive Phriends" mascots team up and get in phights with the mascots of their rivals from other cities...like they rumble with the mascots phrom all the DC teams one week, the NY teams the next week, etc. #phillytough #phillyphabphivephriends
Most of you know that I'm a realist. I'm not a Negadelphian nor a pessimist. That said, I think that it is more likely than not the the Union are going to lose their next three games. I hope I'm wrong.
Union +172 Draw + 263 Red Bulls +144 Union 1 of 4 home underdogs this week: ORL v. CLB, HOU v. SEA, MIN v. LAG
The two guys I have tickets with are bailing... looks like I’m going stag unless I convince the wife to come down with the kids.
This game is only local broadcast. That begs the question why ABC6 is trying to go against the Eagles on Fox. Might as well be on LiveWell.
One more game in which Sapong looks completely over his head. Maybe he needs a neurological examination because his body control and coordination is poorer than anyone else on the field.
The "almost sold out match" looks like a normal Union crowd (with more away fans) 1053435629999087616 is not a valid tweet id "And in a city that once booed Santa Claus, they're getting testy" -MSG after the penalty. Very Union like performance in dominate the entire match, and then give up a terrible goal/penalty.
