...which is why he didn't speak during the ceremony.

That was a fun time. The Union did the Seba ceremony right too!

The Union dominated the caps, absolutely dominated them. I will say, Alphonso Davies is going to be a helluva generational talent for Canada in the years to come. For a 17 year old kid, he physically looks like he's 22-23 years old. We might not have another opportunity to see him play in person in Chester.

Huh....the Union are in a playoff spot for now.......

How in the hell did the Union lose to Orlando............at HOME?!?!?!?! Orlando is hot garbage.

Sapong needs to sit. His runs are very methodical, his turns with the ball.......well let's just say the Battleship New Jersey makes quicker and tighter turns then CJ. He also doesn't make decisive runs either. Burke might not be polished yet, but he makes decisive, aggressive runs into the box. The attacking movements of the team are just more fluid, and at a quicker pace when he's on the field.

Dockal..............critics are silenced. He's been fantastic the past 2 months, and hge gets better each game he plays.

Bedoya, I'll say it again is quietly having an MLS best 11 caliber season.

The kids in the back, they keep growing. Still have a ways to go, but so far so good.

Jones must really frustrate the hell out of Curtin. He has so much talent, but he just doesn't seem to want to capitalize on his opportunities.

It's too bad this team is saddled with 2 bad strikers, and one average striker. If they had a legit #9, they'd be solidly in the playoffs, and would be a tough match up for any team on their day. The lack of production from the striker position is holding this team back. It really is the difference between them being in a rock fight for the 6th spot and possibly being a contender for 4th place.

The Union have a legit chance at getting a result in LA next week.

Eh - that's apples and oranges I think. They both bring something different and damn Jones is a kid with big upside. He tears up USL.

I forgot about he game until I noticed some push notifications. Sounds like they looked good. There was a time I would’ve been really bummed to miss a game like this.

But that time is long gone.

I'm kind of upset they didn't give out any sort of Le Toux memorabilia.

Yeah...they missed a fantastic opportunity to score back a few points with apathetic fans.

Above the red line... it will remain that way all week... I know Vancouver is a mediocre team on a cross country flight, but the optimism keeps creeping in. I’m totally sold on Dockal. They better find a way to re-sign him.

There was a free 4X6 photo of Seba for the first 5,000 fans. With free non-Seba related sunglasses.

I have a feeling the Chinese aren't going to let him go easily.

Me too.. which makes me question the signing totally weather he’s a success or not.. unless they really go all in and spend like crazy this summer it was a dumb move if they can’t retain him.

Union looked good but have to admit that Vancouver looked really sluggish. There was no real pressure on the ball and a lot of bad give aways on their part. That being said the Union really put their foot on Vancouver's neck and didn't ever let up. Maybe they can carry that over to the next game.

About what you'd expect from a team that traded away their star player TWICE!

Attendance listed as 15,250. Best guess is that this is always inflated about 25-30% from butts in seats.

Doesn't every MLS loan include an option to purchase the player? If thats true I would imagine it just comes down to whatever dollar amount Henan Jianye set for Dockal in negotiations.

I thought I read back when the loan was announced that it was for one year, and there isn't a purchase clause due to the Chinese Club wanting in excess of $5M for him? I've been looking for the article I read but can't seem to find it.

Edit: Going through the offseason player thread, there is a lot of mention of no purchase option for Dockal, just can't find it in a news article at the moment.

One thing that may work in your favor is that the reason he wanted a loan in the first place is because he, and even more so his family, were unsettled living in China. There is a lot of money invested on their end though, so they wouldn't let him leave easy (or at least, cheaply) though.

A great 3 points. Imagine if we got to play more than 17 games at home every season.

These are the types of performances I know we can pull off when we are in Chester. It's just so puzzling how awful this team becomes on the road. I know MLS teams generally lag away from home, but we always seem to be even worse than that.

Eh you should be bummed. The Seba tribute was really nice and it was one of the most fun Union games I have ever seen.

I'm surprised people aren't hyping this up more. It was like 25-1 in shots with 90% passing. Pure domination.

Must have been a blast to be there. Such dominance is rare in Union history. Le Toux ceremony also.

good times, lotta goals, opponent didnt show up... now we know how teams have felt playing the U at home in the past :)

a bit off topic, but I'm shocked how people are so passionate for and against YSA. I don't give a shit about it, personally. but if you want people to stop yelling "asshole", maybe don't go around calling people assholes when they do yell it. frankly, its no worse than other stuff we do. and its not the only chant we've been asked to stop or edit.

it's also funny when newbs try to give me a history lesson.

I can’t believe we’re still having PK taker controversies.
