They've looked rather competent three weeks in a row. I'm going to go with...win? Yeah, I guess so. Win.
off thread here but anyone know what the pricing is going to be for the Richmond game? Union has said nothing as far as I can see.
This match sneaks its way into May, so it'll be one last win as we head into the long, dark, days of a Union Summer.
Hey now, they usually play well though June...............it's the months of July and August they have yet to figure out how to navigate.
11 out of 12 goals scored this year were in the 4 games we won. Only the 1-1 draw with SJE didn’t result in a W. Chicago has bagged 7 road goals, or almost as many as we have all year and got points at RB, TFC and OCSC. 2-2 draw. Sapong gets a brace but won’t be quite sure how the ball went in off him. Twitter erupts in “CJ for 2022 USMNT” hysteria. Schweinsteiger is quoted as saying “this ****ing league man”.
Curtin can easily rationalize starting Burke because of the schedule. Nothing to do with missed penalties and months of suckage at NoAccountability FC.
Oh boy, looks like traffic is already ramping up. Have I mentioned how much I hate weeknight matches? Hope everyone gets there safe...and in time for at least some of the 1st half.
You hate your fellow forum friends that much? I honestly don't know if that should truly be red or not.
You wouldn't be missing much. Chicago with most of the attacking play so far. edit: is Ilsinho losing his hair?
This ref is a clown. Blows for a foul. The free kick ensues then he whistles it dead because he forgot to draw the line.
Thank God Ilsinho put that in. That should just about it do it, too. Chicago has absolutely no intention of scoring in this match. I hate to disparage our league, but it is increasingly apparent that for all the strides forward this league has taken, when looked at as a whole, it's pretty terrible. We have some really strong individual teams, but they can be counted on one hand. How many games in a row, now have we said that our opponent is bad? That's not a good thing. The rest of this league is garbage, and I hate that I'm rooting for a team to compete for a playoff spot that is essentially meaningless. But, they are my team and it is what it is, I guess. So...go Union? Let's finish this game out and move into that 6th spot!
