As someone looking at the K League from the outside and just checking highlights and streams when possible, I think soccer specific stadiums would make a HUGE difference in terms of atmosphere and would get more people out to games. It simply is more enjoyable to watch football in a smaller ground and I think the prevalence of running tracks at K League stadiums is a big hindrance. From looking at highlights, even though Pohang Steelers don't necessarily have massive attendances, the atmosphere at the stadium just sounds so much better because of the smaller ground, same with Incheon's stadium. I don't know about the feasibility or desire to get these stadiums built and I'm sure it wouldn't totally solve the issue but I think it would be a wise investment.
Starting this weekend, referee's decisions involving the VAR in K League 1 matches will be explained to fans and media with a video of the play and also in text on the scoreboard, according to the league's recent press release.— Steve Han • 한만성 (@realstevescores) July 6, 2018
KSW starts as CB and MSM scores 2 goals in a 3-3 draw between Incheon and Jeonbuk. Jeju wins 3-2 to Suwon Pohang loses 0-2 to Gyeongnam
Incheon is the most unluckiest team in this league. Should have beaten Jeonbuk but concede a last second goal. Anyhow, Jorn Andersen's first game is a draw.
Not a bad debut for Anderson with a 3-3 tie between Jeonbuk and Incheon. I'm not sure if it was the international break that made Jeonbuk look sloppy but Incheon were attacking very well throughout the game.
Incheon were the better team, but again K-League officials strike again, and have always been terrible, even the newly added VAR is questionable as well.
That's been Incheon's story since the beginning of the season. Great offence, but they are unlucky so they keep losing or drawing even if they are the better team.
I think everyone was a bit rusty in that sense. Even as an Incheon fan, I'll concede that as questionable as the calls might have been, the result turned out better than I expected. I initially thought that but the only main difference I see is that we penetrated a little more towards the middle in the flanks than we did under Lee Ki-Hyung. Time will tell at this point but I'm satisfied with the draw.
I edited my post a bit before you quoted but I agree. An entertaining game regardless for the neutrals. The true test comes against Gangwon and Gyeongnam.
Lol Seoul won 3-0 against Pohang. CYW played as a CM. Btw, I think Hwang Ki Wook is also talented (CDM who played for Tubize last season). edit: netizens are praising Yun Suk Young (who also managed to score an assist from corner)
