    Very good effort today in the 2-1 win over Chicago. Nicholson brought a lot of offense down the left and was rewarded with the game winner off a cross in from Finlay on the right side. Ibson got his first MLS goal with the rebound off his own header. Schuller is looking better this season than last, and Mears is a better offensive threat down the right side that we had last season.

    Well...currently in 2nd place. Feels weird. ;):cool::p

    What a gorgeous day. The whole family was there.

    ---

    Just a note...due to international duty, we will be without Schüller, Boxall, and Calvo for the next game. Also looks like Mears will be out for a few weeks due to a calve pull. Will hopefully have an official diagnosis on that soon.

    So, I can see Burch playing his usual left, and Jerry moved back to the right side. As for CB pairings, the obvious one would be Kallmann and Omsberg, but I would not be surprised if Owundi gets some minutes. Also be on the look out for Manley.

    What I wonder is what Heath will do with the midfield and attack? Does he keep the same attacking four or bring in two defensive minded midfielders to play with Ibson and help shore up the defense.

    The impression that I got, was that Fernando was still not ready. They are easing him in (and remember that he is less than a year out from an ACL injury as well).

    So.....Martin or Warner. Almost flip a coin here, though I was alright with Warner in the Orlando game. He does cover a bit of ground.

    I agree Warner looked good but I think that was more due to Schuller being out there providing extra defensive support (ps super happy with Rasmus so far this season). That is why I wonder which way Heath goes, start Ibarra and go with either just Martin or Warner out there with Ibson or have Ibarra start on the bench and go with a midfield of Ibson, Martin and Warner... I'm torn I would love to see Ibarra get another chance but with us being so depleted on the back four the extra defensive support against the Red Bulls may be needed.

    Let's just go a play one of the best teams in the league on the road with an entirely new backline. :rolleyes:

    It's how we roll. :D

    I don't think we expected points out of this one...so you know, why not get those young players some good minutes? Would even think Heath would want to try out
    Maximiano with Ibson as well.

    Would also hope Martin starts to get a few minutes in the next few games as well.
