COYL! I'm gonna run with the theory that Heath intentionally trotted out bad formations down in Charleston as a sort of rope-a-dope... Hey! It's possible.
#MNUFC announces multi-year radio deal with @1500ESPN for pre- and postgame shows, hosted by Bryan Piatt, and match broadcasts, with play-by-play from Dan Terhaar. No more simulcasts from TV folks. Chris Lidholm hangs up mic after 25 years of Minnesota soccer broadcasts.— Andy Greder (@andygreder) March 1, 2018 Good, but sad. Going to miss Chris.
I used to watch replays of Thunder games on local cable access channel and Chris was the play by play guy. He really took the job serious and by the end was a pro at calling the games.
Tomorrow is my daughter's birthday, but as this will be a late game, I am thinking of going to the watch party at the Nomad. Might as yell obscenities with others.
BTW: season tickets arrived for me yesterday. Will hopefully have a picture of the box and goodies soon.
Just showed up. I think I remember saying they were going to send an email with tracking info, but they must have scrapped it. I also know people started getting them last week...or so. They have been sending them in waves.
My season ticket rep mentioned that Monday when I asked (he called about the "Allianz Field Experience" deal), but it's nice to get it confirmed. Probably went out alphabetically by last name. R is pretty far down the list...
After the first game I feel we have a better team this year. I’m not saying a ton better though. I really hope they can still sign some new guys before the season is over we need guys to build a future team on. We don’t have a foundation of players to build on currently. The midfield I think is still terrible. The Defence and offense are so so.
Been so busy, I forgot to mention my thoughts. I spent the evening at the Nomad, with about 150-200 Dark Clouds/Red Loons supporters. Very nice to meet people and talk shop. Overall, I did like what I saw. We are in a better place than we were last season at this time. Problem is, so is everyone else. The entire back line had brain farts throughout the game, which was just depressing. They could have easily benefited from a Cronin.
Minnesota United's Christian Ramirez is a game-time call for Saturday against Orlando City http://www.startribune.com/minnesot...-for-saturday-against-orlando-city/476022613/
https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2018/03/06/tenorio-injury-updates-dom-dwyer-josue-colman-oriol-rosell I guess now would be the time to poach some points against Orlando. Colman, Dwyer and Rosell were all out training on the side on Tuesday, and Lions’ general manager Niki Budalic told MLSSoccer.com the team is “cautiously optimistic” Colman and Rosell will be ready for a return, “in a few weeks.” Budalic said both Colman (thigh contusion) and Rosell (undisclosed injury), who arrived late to preseason and could be working on his fitness, are expected to rejoin training soon. Dwyer (quad) is expected to be out longer than both of his new teammates. Kljestan and da Silva will continue to serve out suspensions this weekend, while PC, who was red carded against D.C. United, will also be unavailable on Saturday against Minnesota United (7:30 pm ET; MLS LIVE in US | MLS LIVE on DAZN)

Team looked much more organized for lots of this game. They played with some heart at the end too. I’m not feeling good about all the injury’s. Finlay and Mears were to big stand outs for me this game.
I’m still exhausted ...and daylight savings did not help. Whew! Overall: Team was very good at maintaining shape, and dang, that energy. From minute one even. I was worried in the second part of the first half with all the delays and Orlando finding its footing. The last 10 minutes of the game was about as nerve wracking as it gets. Ibson’s Goal line clearance and the couple times he played out of the back. Pure Ibsonity! Mears: Lost a step, but overall good crosses and finally, we have someone who can deliver better free/corner kicks. Lampson: His what, 50 yard pass to Nicholson may have won him another start. Don’t think I have seen Bobby do that. Nicholson: Oh man, what energy. If Molino would not have been so static in the box, he would have had another goal. Toye: Still rough around the edges, but that pass to Ibarra to setup the goal. *kiss. Finley: what can you say? In the right place at the right time. With Molino going down, we will need him even more. Oh please, please, please....hope it is not the ACL with Kev. FO better get on the phone to someone to bring in a AM....maybe Nguyen?
Great effort from the Loons. Nicholson looked good going down the left and creating chances. I was wrong about the college picks: Toye showed smart play and got involved in the game winner. The PK was absolute cr@p. Orlando player was moving away from goal and foul really occurred outside box. I don't think that video review is needed in that type of situation.
