I'm flummoxed by most of these player moves.
And I wish the club would explain them.
Hard to support a team when they don't provide a scintilla of information on any of these 6 unexpected moves.

Especially from NRod who promised transparency...

Just for the record, I was a first year season ticket holder and have remained so throughout also.

I'm just as confused by the player moves as anybody. They are truly inexplicable unless you think Andi has an obsession about winning the wooden spoon again.

Or, could it be that a move to make the team as bad as possible like in the baseball movie "Major League"? I could see Andi doing it and saying "Gee, this team doesn't get any support so I want to move it to San Diego or some such location."

    Did we sign a CD?
    Did we sign a GK?
    Did we sign a CM?

They have Bastian's testimonial coming up. Hey, maybe he will convince Lewandowski to come to Chicago in 2020! How many more fans would that signing bring?

Meanwhile, Antoine Griezmann is being interviewed post game after beating Real Madrid telling everyone that he wants to play for LAFC with Carlos Vela.

DC United has moved up to 8th very quickly and are only a point ahead of the fire. Just a little hot streak and the fire can be right back in it!

Of course, DC United has four games in hand, as well.
DC United has exactly the same number of wins, one more draw and FIVE fewer losses.

True a few wins could put us in the playoff running but unfortunately that might be detrimental to the club as a whole.

Bumping from the game day thread:
    It was both of them.
As for Johnson, that was completely on Paunovic. Rodriguez probably has little to do with the starting line-up.
As for Accam, Rodriguez would have received more for Accam if he had sold him to the French team last summer.
It was Paunovic who benched Accam in August, not Rodriguez.

    It is both of them.

That is nonsense. There is more than enough talent on this team to be competitive, if not excellent.
Paunovic has played so many players out of position, benched players who should start, started players (Collier, Gordon, "creative" Bronico, etc.) who should be on the bench at most.

    Paunovic Errors:
    Poor game management
Awful Substitution policy (see Saturday's game for a clear example).
    Sticking with Sanchez.
    Playing Vincent in the middle.
Making Schweinsteiger play as a central defender (which would be okay, but we need a suitable replacement in CM).
    Benching Katai.
Starting Collier (and then dumping him)
    Starting Solignac
    Benching Adams
    Not playing Daniel Johnson
    Starting Bronico

    Rodriguez errors:
    Dumping Accam, with no replacement.
Dumping Alvarez and Juninho, without finding suitable replacements.
Dumping Johnson and Jones, without finding suitable replacements (2017 error).
    Not replacing Meira.
    Not signing a starting goalkeeper.
    Not signing a CAM.
    Signing and then dumping Ellis
    Signing Solignac

I am not going to get into the off the field errors both of them have made (Paunovic- calling out players by name, Rodriguez-banning Sector Latino, etc.), as this is the Roster Thread, but those errors are even worse.

Vincent in the middle is utterly baffling. That alone shows he has no idea what he's doing.

Both Schweinsteiger and McCarty have publicly strongly supported Pauno
