Let's hope he is better than Ellis, Corrales, Dean, Ramos, Lillard, Campos, Vincent, and Campbell. Did I miss anyone?
Doesn't look like a lights out guy by any means, but I'll take any help in the back we can get. At 24 years they may have one eye on this season and another on future development. On a third division team or not, that he captained his first team at 20 years old is a good sign, Who's goin' to Tulsa?
I'm not saying he's a major signing, but he's a signing and a defender, which is what we need at the moment.
I like him already just for the music in his highlight package.....now let's hope he doesn't flop like Arkshkyan or whatever his name is. .....with this I'd imagine it was low signing so I expect to get a DP #10 and a GK as we still should have some funds left....what sucks is Ellis going down as I thought he's played well for us.
There's been rumors that Schweinsteiger wants to play 1 more year. I definitely want him to but I'm worried he wants out from the fire. I feel like he's got to be as frustrated as the fans. If there's anyone that brings some legitimacy to the team it's him, maybe mccarty.
I kinda just assumed he's gone after this year. How will the DP situation play out if we sign Frankowski or any other DP because Katai becomes a DP next year.
We can always trade for another dp slot as well if anyone has any available. Is this Frankowski a dp worthy guy? Is he a Tam possible? Can we have Milkman back? Can Segares still play (he would be better even now then what we have at LB)?
DP slots don't work like that. International slots do. Actually, Andy (or Joe now) has to pay for a third DP slot. Unless, of course, if we use it on a player under 23 (or 21, this is from memory), otherwise known as a Youth Designated Player or a YDP. I don't remember the last time we had a YDP that actually played. TL;DR it'd be cost effective to get a good young South American DP, but Nelson doesn't believe in it.
Trade for DPs, ok send an email to MLS, they may like that idea. I can see it now ATL, TOR, LA, NY with 11 dps each and most other teams with zero.
Guys, I am trying for my part to reach out to sources to see what we are doing...and by sources I mean within the last 2 weeks listening to Sirus XM FC, when Jason Davis was on tweeting to him when Sam Stejskal(he seems to know the best with rumors lately around MLS and writes great things for the league) was on asking about a Katai update and then tonight when Brian Dunesth was on with Sam again....each time they read my tweet to him on National Radio to get some news haha....and actually today they talked about 5 minutes about the Fire.....I feel quite proud about that guys haha.
So we need a defender? Fighting talk from Dejan Lovren. pic.twitter.com/dLb59HNbHc— ESPN FC (@ESPNFC) July 12, 2018
