Totally agree on Niko, the guy is class. No doubting Katai's quality but I'm afraid he's too high maintenance for the clown car that is the Fire organization. Maybe extend the loan and see if that permanent transfer fee goes down.
any update on this? https://www.sport-english.com/en/ne...will-announce-his-future-in-two-weeks-6857108 It will be two weeks on Monday.
Has anyone else noticed that none of us rip on Katai for the manbun? If you produce, you're free to do whatever you'd like. If you're a total stiff like Harrington, well then, you're fair game. Go Iceland!
Have we signed Torres, Iniesta, Honda etc....yet? Oh wait Nrod is our President/GM and Andi is our owner. Why pick up Katai's loan when we could sign 3 or 4 MLS rejects instead (at least we will finally fill out our roster). #NRodOut #HauptmanOut
This team is more fun to follow if you implicitly accept that they will consistently stink under current ownership and leadership. If you just watch for the “freak show” element it makes it more bearable. For instance, imagining what it would look like if you assembled a team of players not good enough to be on any other team in the league; that’s the Fire. They win; it’s “Holy **** they did it, I can’t believe it.” They find a way to lose in the most stupid way? You just shake your head and chuckle at the absolute incompetence on display. For those hoping for a competitive team which will contend for any competition they are part of, look elsewhere this isn’t the team for you.
Because his manbun suits him. Some people can actually pull it off. Many more think they can, but only a few are truly worthy. Katai is worthy.
Man, that sounds like the Sox and Cubs I grew up with. Well, not the "freak show" part so much for the Cubs, but the early 70's White Sox....
Shouldn't we be announcing some signings soon as didn't someone say N-Rod met with fans and said expect some announcements the next few weeks? Ugh I hate this team's ownership.
we'll be signing Matija Biljeskovic, 2004 FIFA eWorld Cup runner up. He's probably an accountant with two kids by now, but your can't beat the "local kid makes good" PR.
The announcements will realistically be more about new concession offerings or business alliances than about players. As the Fire are a world class destination for players he can play hard to get...
