He is barely using words in that tweet. Also, it would not be Rodriguez's "the last laugh", it would be improving the team...you know, his f*cking job.

As for any rumor, I will only believe it when @Fanaddict posts it on the News thread.

Niko with Katai and Robben on the wings and DeLeeuw, Dax and Basti behind them would make for a pretty fun 2nd half of the season.

Or we could be looking at another massive name, but one that's 100 years old and in a position that we have had filled for the past 21 years.

The whole franchise is now based on dreams, what ifs and prayers.

Which is better than 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 when we did not even have dreams, what ifs and prayers.

Would Katai still be around, since his deal is only through July?

Well, to be fair, age is an illusion for Arjen Robben.
He has looked like he is 60 since he was about 25.

Hell, even when he was at Chelsea, he looked like an old man.
This is him at 21 or 22.

Think he'll look different at 36?;)

It's not his looks I'm worried about. It's his 36 year body. Including the National Team he's played 499 games, that said I'd love to have him at 36 play for the Sting/CF2 or CF1

He looked pretty ageless playing for Bayern today.

Edit: the game might have been a replay.

Let’s face it. We know someone with his soccer brain can succeed here just as he could succeed on a bottom table German team. His pride would simply send him to a “new challenge” and he could be great.

He's actually pretty reliable though with the things he posts....and the last laugh, i think or at least took it as well with all of the other fans giving him crap about not doing anything, he may actually be making a big move then to shut people up about complaining....that's how i took it.

I refuse to accept another older "big name". That's "business as usual". This is Chicago. Fvck that.

We're all happy about getting someone who would drag us into MLS 2.0. Meanwhile the rest of the league is already moving into MLS 5.0.

I don't care if it's Arjen Robben, I don't care if it's Andres Iniesta, I don't care if it's Fernando Torres, I don't even care if it's some other old big name.

Schweinsteiger was a name to finally bring us back from the brink. Now we need to move on.

Business as usual will not be accepted by any part of this city.

So roster size is 30 players, we currently only have 22 players.

Our two goalkeepers are 23 years old and have a total of 2 games under their belts.

    GREAT JOB!!!!! NRod!!!!!!!

Well he does have 3 weeks before our first game of the season.:ROFLMAO:

I’ve always really liked that quote in the context of the Fire. I first heard of the uote from the Section 8 TIFO and have always tried to consider it whenever I see news about the team.

Well, if he wants to be reliable, he can say what he knows, not this cryptic nonsense.

It is Nelson 'Shady' Rodriguez' job to improve the team.

If doing his job means, to him, stick it to the "wallowers" and have the "last laugh" by doing his job, then f*ck him with a rubber dick.

I will give him credit for doing things to improve the team...when he does.

Last season: Bastian and Nikolic were great signings. McCarty was a very good signing.

Let's see what he has this season. There are three weeks and the European transfer window is long closed. Of course, we can still sign players from there, but it gets a bit more difficult as time moves on.

The European transfer window may be closed but the MLS transfer window is open until May. Since it is open until May any team in the league can transfer a contracted player out of their current league. I really wish people would understand that a little better. None the less, the season starts in 3 weeks and we have a very week roster. Nothing like not hitting the ground running.
