It is in "The Sun" out of the UK, so it must be true. https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/5278358/barcelona-arda-turan-mls-chicago-fire/ or, he could be going to Everton http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/spor...s/everton-offered-arda-turan-turkish-14106334 or Everton, AC Milan, Beşiktaş, Galatasaray or Başakşehir http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/barcelona-...n-january-transfer-looking-inevitable-1653968 I am calling smoke up the ass on this one. On the other hand, Turan is "a long-standing supporter of President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan," so he has THAT going for him. https://web.archive.org/web/2017071...pport-turkish-president-la-liga-a7546726.html
Not really from Guillermo...he's just reporting from the Daily Mail. I will say BeIN Sport Turkey is reporting that as well, so I'm not sure if they are just picking up the Daily Mail but still....pretty interesting if he does come here though. I know Sevilla wanted Quintero before but then they were going after Sneijder who now just went to the Qatari League, so he may go back to them then. Interesting though with this news, perhaps the Bastian effect and he is trying to get people to come here and help.
Smart thinking , I seem to remember Turan flying Spain to Turkey and back ALOT. He spends an insane amount of time in Istanbul during the season - for a guy playing in Spain.
It probably helps, then, that he has not logged a single minute at Barcelona this season...more time for travelling to Turkey!
Hey, Chicago to Istanbul is only like a ten hour flight. After the roundtrip, that still leaves 4 hours of day left to party.
Who the ******** cares about whats happening with the Fire Nottingham Forests just ********ing beat Aresnal 4-1 in the FA Cup and Fire academy product Eric Lichaj scored two ********ing goals.
If Bastian had done that exact same thing for the Fire last season it would be praised ad infintium on here and elsewhere. That goal was easily one of the better ones I've seen recently, and coming from a right back that doesn't score a lot makes it that much more impressive (in a big game too). He's also the type of defender the Fire could use.
I had no idea he was a defender when I saw it live so that makes a bit of sense. It wasn’t a striker striking that ball but it was a pretty goal.
I remember Niko's goal against San Jose where De Leuuw just popped it up and Niko was the only one following it. I thought that was a nice goal. De Leuuw was really good last season, is he starting the season healthy or is he still a ways away?
Yes that was a satisfying game. It was NOT a mishit, it was exactly sublime. As a dude who's played the game for 44 years and still playing (over 35s at age 48) I can testify it's difficult to not put that shot over the bar coming off your chest, in a crowd, waiting for the exact moment for it to drop while dudes are running at you and hitting it with just enough oomph and top spin to arc it over the keeper and under the bar...sublime...NOT mis hit. This is apparently a similar effect as the Robayo effect only inversely no?
Grant Lillard signed to HG contract https://www.chicago-fire.com/post/2...cer-club-signs-grant-lillard-homegrown-player
Fait accompli, but good news, nevertheless. As to whether he's ready to step into a starting role, I have no clue.
