It's like netball, usually a schoolgirls game back in the day, which is like basketball but where you're not allowed to move with the ball. Our players are like that but where NOBODY is allowed to move. They're like a lot of traffic comes.
He hasn't played that much and coming on as a sub is probably hard in massive games like these, (well... not this one so much), but he hasn't looked like he has much to offer if he did.
Some of these fellas need to leave their respective clubs or get loans to get games. They need to be playing EVERY week, not once in a while.
Rashford just isn't very instinctive in the box. He doesn't seem to look comfortable or excited that he has the chance to shoot. Quite worrying actually. Haven't been enamoured with him for a while.
I didn’t think we played that bad to be honest, just lacked that cutting edge in the final third. We desperately need our next generation of attacking midfielders to come forward as soon as possible. RLC I thought was good, not really sure why he was brought off tbh. Need to take our chances in these games, Belguim showed how to do it.
we are crying out for a link in midfield to the attack. players like foden, maddison and winks are very much need in this side. i thought the defense was the best part of our team. pickford, stones, maguire and trippier in particular were class. overall its been a great tournament for us and something to build on.
Just discussing elsewhere about our kids coming through. I was just saying that lads like young Foden need to get a decent loan move to get some first team football every week. I checked and wiki said he only made 5 appearances and all bar one was a very late subs appearance. I doubt he'd start instead of David Silva or whatever, would he? I dunno... what do you think.
If the FA have any sense Foden should be fast tracked to the U21's this season with a view to getting him in the full England squad buy the time the Euros come around, same goes for Sancho as well.
I agree completely, but I don't know if a young lad would rather stay on the bench at a Premier League club or start every week for Millwall or Eintracht Frankfurt. I doubt that doing what is best long-term for the national team comes into their thinking. I'm hopeful for this nations league thing, that internationals will become more meaningful and players will take them more seriously. Being competitive in tournaments like we've done in Russia helps, too.
