Consider how far both Korea and Kuwait are located in asia, we faced them fairly often compare to other Asian teams, 22 times we faced each other. We faced Kuwait during 06,10,14, and now '18 World Cup qualifying, and Asian cup 2000,04,15. Back in January, I remember the Asian cup group game against them. We were one goal up from taehee's header from duri's cross in the first half. But in the second half, it was a complete different story. Last 20 mins were all Kuwait. Coach stielike said after the game that we were not a contender to win the Asian cup. Things were that bad.

9 months later, we couldn't ask for better team and a momentum that we're on right now heading into a game worth 6 points according to coach stielike. That's very true since the three other teams won't probably challenge us and Kuwait. Kuwait is one of the better team in Asia I feel. Current top four in Asia are Korea, Iran, hoju, Japan. Kuwait is just on that level down along uzi, Iraq, UAE etc.

I believe they'll be up for the challenge and worth our time. I'll cautiously predict 2-0 victory with suk and hyunsoo(pk) goal. But I guess only prediction that matters here is one from mehstar.

We didn't play them in the 2010 qualifier.

To add more Korea has never lost to Kuwait since AFC Asian Cup 2000.

We did, just not in the final round. Remember when Lebanon beat us and we were close to getting eliminated early?

I would replace LJS with NTH. PJH with JWY, and PJH for KJS

Expect Nam Tae-Hee, Kwak Tae-Hwi, and Han Kook-Young to start as Stielike is opting to use 중동 against 중동.

All Iran referees? Expect penalty or two and a red card against Korea. And of course, grass rolling half the game after Kuwait takes the lead. This is gonna be fun to watch.

KJC on the left and KCH in the middle? I hope either that's a mistake in the reported lineup or Uli's plan is for them to switch frequently during the match.

Right, but I don't think he's been very effective there. Perhaps Uli's thinking is to have him drift inside to create space for PJH.

I'm guessing with KJC placed on the wing he'll drift more freely towards the center while PJH will be pushed forward very often (while JHS stays put on the other side).
