You better do it because they make sure to do whatever they can to put psychological pressure on your team in away match in KSA. You should be familiar with their tactics. It is just sad. They have many passionate football fans but these things bring them down in eyes of most Asian football fans. Back in AC 2015 they were backing you because you were their Arab brother fighting against super duper evil Iran, but now you are against them and they consider you as an outsider, just like Jordan.
Hopefully this will put some pressure on AFC and FIFA. I would rather play them in Iraq than winning 3-0 on forfeit..
We want to put psychological pressure because they think they own everything and make discussion as they like whenever they like. They should know they are part of an organization not the ruler of it. They dont want to play in Palestine, Iraq, Iran or Thailand because they think they can. Well, its not up to them and they should be ashamed of their actions.
Surprisingly we have another thing in our favor: the schedule. 2016: 2 toughest away games against Japan and Australia 1 away game against UAE which should be doable 2 home games against KSA (which could be forfeited) and Thailand 2017: 2 home games against Australia and Japan 1 home game against UAE 2 away games against KSA and Thailand Which means: That we still have time to sort out the home game issues for the 3 hardest home games. That we get over the hardest away games in 2016, and have an easier time in 2017
Well traveling from Australia to Iraq in just 4 days is a big issue. We want those 3 points without making a sweat.
You would be surprised if you know we have other cool stadiums being built in this wartime You have to see Najaf Stadium is currently on built
Any way this is my favorite Stadium it called Baghdad Arena and its currently on built It may not be liked by alot of people but to me it looks really modern just like Qatar's Aspire academy.
For the time being, the density of IRGC militian per km2 in Karbala is far superior to any Iranian city, so yes they will feel safe for sure there. Wise choice by the IFA, if Saudis don't go back on their words they will face an hostile environment.
Most of their projects are not done yet. For example look at this. 1.Al Mina Stadium in Basra https://www.google.com/maps/@30.5520075,47.7773767,350m/data=!3m1!1e3 2. This one is almost complete in Basra 3.This is their Nasiriyah Stadium which doesn't have any roof (different from that image including all stadiums in Iraq) 4. Karbala Stadium (Nov 2015) 5. This is Najaf Stadium 6. Kut Stadium (2014) 7. This is Zakho Stadium in Kurdistan
Karbala Stadium is already finished. http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?s=f41be4601b51cdfdb5d318c6fb5fa2a1&t=1587258&page=6
Karbalaa Stadium is finished and ready to host official matches and we invited Iran to play. Basra Stadium was finished long time ago but minor touches to the surroundings. The rest of the stadiums are not finished yet. And btw the Najaf stadium pic you posted thats the old stadium the new on is in different location also not finished yet.

Words from a Saudi member on PFDC: "make sure we will kick out Iraqi from the GCC Cup if they do this .." Truly pathetic, they are so used to get everything their way, these things are casual for them now. They don't want to play in Lebanon, they don't want to play in Thailand, they don't want to play in Iran. A(rab)FC bends over
You mean Karbalaa stadium ? Amazing isnt it We complete it in impossible time Here are some pics Outside view A master piece beauty isn't it ?
