I'll type the rules now, but I won't list the schedule. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018_CONCACAF_Champions_League has the schedule. The 15 aggregates will be worth 16 points each for a maximum of 240, but nobody will get close to that. Here's the breakdown for each 16:

    1. Leg 1 and Leg 2 are 4 points each with the same rules:

4 points for an exact score

3 points for a correct result and one goal too high on one club and correct for the other club, one goal too low on one club and correct for the other club, one goal too high for both clubs, or one goal too low for both clubs. One goal too high for one club and one goal too low for the other club is not worth 2 points. One goal too high or too low for one club and correct for the other club is worth 0 if the result is wrong. For example, a 2-1 prediction for a 1-1 game is worth 0.

2 points for any correct result not listed above

0 points for the wrong result

    2. The aggregates give:

4 points for an exact aggregate including being correct about if extra time is necessary

3 points for an exact aggregate when extra time was necessary when you didn't predict it, when you predicted extra time that wasn't necessary, or 1 goal off on the aggregate margin, which guarantees that you got the winner right because winning by 1 and losing by 1 are 2 off on the aggregate margin

2 points for the correct winner and being 2 or 3 goals off on the aggregate margin using your prediction after extra time and penalty kicks if applicable compared to the final margin after extra time and penalty kicks if applicable

1 point for the correct winner and being 4 or more goals off on the aggregate margin

0 points for the wrong result

    3. The score predictions will count toward the bracket predictions. To give people time, bracket predictions for the whole Champions League must be made before the second leg starts on Tuesday February 27 at 8:00 P.M. USA Eastern. The bracket predictions are worth 4 points for each correct winner and 0 otherwise. Extra time is irrelevant to the bracket predictions. Since the first leg hosts for the Semifinals and Final depend on earlier rounds, nobody knows which clubs could host extra time in the Semifinals and Final.

If you predict extra time, give your prediction before and after extra time. I will treat winning penalty kicks as 1 goal for the aggregate component. For the scores for second legs, I will use the score after regulation.

Don't worry if this is confusing. Just make score predictions for both legs before each first leg starts and bracket predictions before the first of the second legs start. Even if you predict clubs who get eliminated before a round you thought they would reach, you still get to make score predictions for every game.

Only Toronto should advance from the 1st round. MLS teams are simply not good enough even against Central America.

I have enough other things I want to do that I'm not going to do a contest for this.
