I doubt he wins it but Brandon Vasquez might have a good year with ATL if he gets more playing time.

Really too late for Adams--he's already "broken out."

The second or third best pro prospect from the U-17 WC team, IMO. You just didn't see him play much because of the coach, and I think thats partially why the team lost in the QF's.

This thread is basically a question of which young US prospect is going to get a chance to play. Otherwise, you might as well just name "the best young US prospect" thread.

Amon seems like a good candidate to get a lot of playing time, and he's a talented player. I'd want to say EPB, Carleton, Pomykal, etc, but we just can't be sure that they will play.

Well..............the point of the last thread was the youngster most likely to break into the USMNT this year. As we're all aware we have a forum to discuss USYNTers and "best prospects."

As far as uncapped youngsters go....................the OBVIOUS choices would seem to be the ones at January camp. How 'bout that!!! :)

So, ahem, my guess is Justen Glad. I'ma bout to win something!

The fact that the USMNT doesn't have a meaningful game in a long time, means just about anybody could be capped this year. They should cast a really wide net.

I want to add one more name if it hasn’t been said already. Haji Wright. Couldn’t you see him blow up?

I’ll substantiate it with an excellent interview, Mike Woitalla interviews Schalke’s Bodo Menze.

Soccer America is the best. Great words on Nick, Weston and Haji. Unbelievable insight from an elite European scout for one of Europe’s best academies. Look at the German coaches these days, my God...

Still early, another coach might give him a chance.

Y’all listen to @Susaeta. I spent the last half hour looking for it, not sure if it was a tweet or a post, but he called McKennie ‘17. Said expect playing time, kinda starting, significant minutes...

I'm right there with you in being hopefull, 11B, but he won't get any official games at first team or U23 level until August, so we have a long time to wait. :(

    Guys I’m also hopeful for,

Jonathan Amon continues to develop and becomes a legitimate wing option.

Siebatcheu...switches and continues to be a threat in Ligue 1 (after promotion)

Keaton Parks makes Jonathan Gonzalez an after thought

Saief’s career doesn’t blow up, but he demonstrates capability to be a solid international.

Antonee Robinson and Shaq Moore become solid although not spectacular fullback choices.

Tillman gets a loan and becomes successful in the fall.

Sargent turns 18 in February, after which he'll be eligible for B1 matches.

Source? As far as I can tell, he's not eligible until July.

No, this is incorrect. From everything I've been able to glean, he will not be eligible for Bundesliga matches until the beginning of the 2018-19 season. He will not be able to sign his first pro contract until after the end of the January window, and thus will not be able to be registered. He will be able to train with the first team and play friendlies (and *maybe* U19 matches), but no official matches with the first team or Bremen II.
