They mean it figuratively in the sense that at this point at least 2.5 million people must have joined in, either at the game, watching on tv or maybe thinking offhandedly about the Union. I mean its gotta be something like 2.5 million by now, right? I think about the Union a lot although its mostly negative thoughts.
I hate the use of fam. I also hate when they drop the 're from we're here. Cheese Fries, twitter is up to 280 (?) characters. Feel free to not abbreviate, m'kay?
When I missed a game earlier in the year I actually had a rep email me and tell me to post on stubhub next time I was missing a game. I prefer to give my tickets away if I can't use them and no one was interested. Somehow that's my fault. F Stubhub. What do we owe them?
I used to stubhub tickets for games I couldn't make but haven't bothered in about two years. They're hard enough to give away.
So I watched the Union/Whitecaps match on DirectKick. What is going on with the attendance? From what I saw on DK everytime they showed the River End it was half empty. Not the way to support the Union.
When the FO doesn't show any interest in the team, how can anyone expect the fans to show any? Of course that's just the short version of a very long litany of problems/disconnects between the FO, the fans, and the on-field product.
Most of the empty seats were in TRE. Some empty seats near the Away Supporters section (133) and the corners but TRE had the most seats unsold.
I personally think people don't go to games because the team has always sucked and ownership/FO has made it clear they will continue to suck well into the future.
Okay, I'll take a shot. I think UNDER for both, but those are very good numbers. I think they'll both be close.
I didn't see/hear any announcement tonight. It looked like about 3,500, but who knows how many tickets were sold/given away?
7,176 is the official number. Pretty crazy number, they only reported 5,000 last time we were in the Semis.
Corners and opposite end line were sparse, but the sidelines seemed pretty full and the River End had more than usual for the Open Cup. Its inflated, but I don’t think the number is THAT outlandish.
yeah 5-6 thousand seemed about right. I started to count TRE but something happened on field and I never went back
Union announce they are selling Standing Room Only tickets for this weekend so I'm going to bet "over" on the 18500. Even if it rains and Zlatan stays in LA they will claim 18502
From Reddit: 5:30 opening... lol. Rain will have everyone entering stadium last minute. Also, I sort of doubt they are breaking their record.
Are you under cover? I might be looking for a drier spot depending on the wind direction. Then again, with the hole in the roof and forecast for gusts up to 35mph there might not be any dry spots.
