His contract ends by the end of this season and Galatasaray told him they are not interested in renewing his contract and he can look for another club in this winter transfer window.

He can come back to Italy and join some outsider little club just to face his former club and give them some greetings.

Nagatomo is NOT going to join Bologna. They have no foreign slots available.

Unfortunately, Galatasaray signed an Uruguay left-back and he was the starter in their last league match. He is just 21-years old and had been capped by Uruguay. Not a player over 36 and past his prime such as Nagatomo.

Galatasaray made it clear that they are not willing to renew Nagatomo’s contract, which is going to end this summer.

In the meanwhile, it is reported in the Turkish media that Bologna sporting director denied their interest in Nagatomo.

It seems Nagatomo is set to be a free agent next summer.

Go somewhere else. Dont waste half a season in that place without even European football.

They just need to sell a non-UE player to free it, but either way, it's not happening.

Nagatomo is linked to Vasco da Gama.

As Japanese clubs can not afford his salary, his likely destination is clubs who is willing to pay his salary and have an opened transfer window.

Vasco has no money, he is not going there unless he accepts a way lower salary just as Honda did

Guarin posted a “welcome to Vasco” message to Nagatomo on his Instagram story, and I believe this is where the story came from.

I doubt Guarin will post such thing If it is not true.

Actually, what he said is "Come play with me at Vasco, mate! Their supporters are the best!"
He said that because the supporters are already trying to do the same thing the Botafogo fans did in order to bring Honda.

He is linked to Serie B league leaders Benevento, the team is managed/coached by former Italian international Filippo Inzaghi, and is looking for veterns to boost their squad in next season's Serie A.

With 6 matches left to play they are leading Serie B by 11-points difference to their closest opponent, and they only need 3 points in their next 6 matches to secure promotion.

Inzaghi's former experience with Japanese players is promising, as Keisuke Honda played under his supervision in Milan in 2014/2015. This season was Honda's best in Milan, as he recorded his most starts, most matches played, most minutes played, most goals scored (6), and most assists during his time in Milan.
